WSC34 - Special Delivery Laundry

It sure felt good to stamp and make a card again -- what better excuse than Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge!  Here's the sketch we worked with:

Wsc34

And here's my sample:

Wsc34babydeliverysh_2

Card base is Prism Vibrant Pink, printed papers are from the Memory Box collection, Sugar.  I cut & embossed the green dotted paper with Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped Rectangles and just trimmed off the top scallop.  Then I faux zig-zag stitched a line across the top, using a paper piercing tool and white gel pen.  Here's a closeup for you:

The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink's Faux Ribbon set -- it was stamped in Adirondack Watermelon on some more patterned paper from the Sugar collection.  It was cut & embossed with Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circle and matted with a Scalloped Petite Circle.  I'd like for you to take a look at that lovely, deep embossing on these circles and the scalloped green edge -- I never used to get embossing that deep with my Cuttlebug.  You can contribute that to Spellbinders' die cutting and embossing machine, the Wizard -- it exerts SOOO much more pressure on whatever you are cutting/embossing.  If you're not familiar with their machine, you can check it out here, complete with a step-by-step video!

The darling Lockhart Clothesline image was stamped in the same Watermelon ink on Curious Iridescent Cryogen White cardstock and then the background was airbrushed with Copic Sketch marker Y00 (it really is softer in real life!).  Then I colored the baby clothes with more Copics (again, the colors really are softer, my camera just wasn't liking this combination today! . . .

Two green Making Memories mini brads hold up the clothesline.  Thanks for stopping by today -- be sure to check out the blogs of these talented ladies to see what they did with the sketch: Beate, Cambria Turnbow, Charmaine Ikach, Jenn Balcer, Laurie Schmidlin, Lori Craig and MaryJo Albright.  And when you're over at Jenn's blog, be sure to wish her a happy birthday (have a wonderful day, girlfriend)!!

While you're here, be sure to check out my 1 year blog anniversary giveaway (posted below) -- we're celebrating for a whole week!  Don't fret if you're just finding this out -- I still have 4 more days of giveaways left and you can enter each day of the coming days (previous days' posts close at the end of that day)!

Thanks for stopping by . . . have a wonderful weekend!
