Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #56 made me think of Inchies, of course, so I made a miniature of her sketch this week and used some darling new Inchie Arts 3.5-inch Inchie Notes (more about these below). You, however, may choose to make a more normal size!
I felt a need to say goodbye to summer and what better way to do that than this Lockhart Picnic stamp.
Using Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Blackink, I stamped a portion of the full-sized image onto Inchie Arts' White Inchie Square and colored with Copic markers. The Inchie Square is a wonderful surface for the Copics -- it yields such a nice, rich look to your artwork. I framed the Inchie with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Square die cut.
All papers are Jenni Bowlin Trendy Mini Papers. Ribbon is Stampin' Up's new Riding Hood Red Taffeta (yum!).
A 12-pack of these cute notecards can be found through the Inchie Arts website -- you can view a list of stores that carry the Inchie Notes here. I used the blue/lavender assortment. You get 3 each of 4 colors of notecards in the pack and also included are twelve 3.75" x 5.25" white envelopes. Why a different size of envelope for a 3.5" square card? Because this is the minimum size that they will go through the postal system without additional postage ANDyou are not paying additional postage for a square envelope!
Be sure to check out this week's samples from Beate's other challenge players: Beate, Cambria Turnbow, Charmaine Ikach, Jenn Balcer, Laurie Schmidlin, Lori Craig and MaryJo Albright. I hope you'll play along in the sketch this weekend -- if you do, please leave me a comment below so I can take a look!

Second -- in case you haven't heard, Ellen Hutson has started a new blog called the CLASSroom, her official store blog. I am privileged to be one of the bloggers there about once a week. I'm sure Ellen and her blog team will have some fun and educational posts, along with some great deals you won't want to miss. I hope to see you there!
