Welcome to Day 2 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions' holiday stamp release! There are three new stamp sets and a new Christmas Key Ingredients kit for you to choose from for your holiday crafting! Taylor has more information about the release over on her blog, so be sure to check that out. These stamps and Key Ingredients will be available for purchase beginning at midnight EST TONIGHT and I'll be back with another project to show you at that time, so check back in!
I used the Home Sweet Home stamp set for my project today -- isn't this gingerbread house adorable?!! And it's so much fun to color! After stamping it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Natural white (a creamy colored cardstock), I used these Copic markers to color the house:
The candies are all glitterfied with Star Dust Stickles and the house was cut out and popped up on dimensional foam tape to a gift box filled with chocolate chip mint cookies! I thought this would make a nice holiday gift for neighbors.
The gift box is the Flap Lid Favor Box Taylored Expressions carries. The box measures about 3-1/2" wide x 3-3/4" tall on the front. I covered it in this pretty dotted paper from the Christmas Key Ingredients kit and then trimmed the top and bottom with glittery "shoestring" ribbon (I call it!), also from the Christmas Key Ingredients kit.
More ribbon is tied thru the hole in the back of the box flap that stands up about another 1-1/2" in the back.
The large gift tag is also available from Taylored Expressions and was attached to the back of the box flap. It started out white but I sponged it with Memento Desert Sand ink.
I used three different stamps from the Home Sweet Home set to create the tag, all stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink and then colored with Copic markers. The cupcake icing was glittered with more Star Dust Stickles and accented with crystal gem stickers that Taylored Expressions will also be carrying.
The little 3" square gift card was made with red and pink cardstock and another striped pattered paper from the Christmas Key Ingredients kit. Fiskars' Threading Water punch as used on the bottom striped paper and Spellbinders Petite Classic & Scalloped dies were used on the sentiment. The sentiment (also from the Home Sweet Home stamp set) is stamped in Rhubarb Stalk Memento ink and is popped up on dimensional foam tape. Are you seeing a trend here? This set is filled with LOTS of great holiday sentiments!
I hope you'll check out the sneak peeks available for you today from the Taylored Expressions rotating design team: Donna Baker, Jen del Muro, Terri Dodd, Carol Halvorson, Laurie Schmidlin and of course Taylor. Then be back here for another project from me tonight and Taylor will be debuting all the items for this release tonight on her blog!
If you don't know about my Copic marker givewaway, be sure to check out the post two below this one and enter to win -- you still have until 10pm CST tonight to do so!
