WSC61: Fruitful Thanks
It's Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge time again. I varied the sketch a little and made it square:
I tried my hand at a neat technique Karen Lockhart shared with Ellen Hutson -- White Color Pencil. If you click on Ellen's linked name, she gives you details on this technique. I chose Karen Lockhart's Fruit Bowl to stamp with White StazOn on black cardstock and then shaded the image with white Prismacolor pencil. Very interesting look, isn't it?
The image is matted with Prism Papaya Puree and mounted with dimensional foam tape to the card. Patterned papers are Memory Box Sparkle. The Thanks sentiment is a center from JustRite Stampers Harmony Classic Circle II Ensemble. After stamping just the center, I trimmed the sentiment to this rectangle shape. It's popped up on dimensional foam tape and has some orange EK Success gemstones for accents. Machine stitched accents finish off the card.
Be sure to check out sketch samples from Beate, Cambria, Charmaine, Jenn, Laurie, Lori and Mary Jo. Have a great weekend!

Gorgeous card, Sharon. I love your white stamped and white shaded image. It looks great. I also love your stitched lines on the bottom right corner.
Have a great weekend! Hugs and smiles

Well of COURSE I would love your card and the white pencil "etching" but I adore the new updated look of your blog. It's so much easier to read and easy on the eyes. Your text colors are wonderful as is your banner. Congratulations on your gorgeous card and the lovely new look of your blog. Well done, Sharon.

Absolutely stunning. I was so bummed that I couldn't participate in this weekend's sketch challenge, but now that I see yours, it's just as well. Everything else will pale in comparison! Wonderful job with the white on black.
