Today’s first featured stamp set is Birds and Blossoms by Theresa Momber:
I always love Theresa’s gorgeous nature sets and this one has lots of great elements! No surprise here, I had to use the pretty flowers, with one of the great “grow” sentiments:
This is a gift box/bag and was a free cut file that came with my Silhouette Cameo. I cut it from Gina’s Cherry Red Heavy Base Weight Cardstock, with middle heart accents cut from Innocent Pink cardstock (LOVE this combination!). Here’s a side view, so you can see what I mean by box/bag:
I stamped the pretty floral spray with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Gina’s White Heavy Base Weight Cardstock and colored them with these Copic markers, starting with R20 and deepening the color with R32:
Next, I did some shading in the centers of the flowers with R35:
And my deepest shading was done with R39. The flowers were popped up on foam tape and the sentiment stamped with Jet Black Archival ink:
Gina’s new Color Companions Red Hot Double Stitched Ribbon (narrow) is tied through the cut out heart opening at the bottom of the box. The finished size is a little over 6" tall x 3.50" wide.
Our next featured set today is Spoon Me by Becky Oehlers – I love all the cute punny sayings and images in this set and the endless possibilities of combinations you can get from it!
I stamped the glasses with Gina’s new Red Hot Color Companions ink onto White Heavy Base Weight Cardstock that had been cut with Becky’s Spoon Me Silhouette cut file. Then I cut out the centers of the glasses and placed vellum on the back, to create lenses!
I also stamped the small chevron design from this set with Red Hot ink on white cardstock, to make the left border. Tami Mayberry’s Take Note set was used to make the notebook paper, by stamping the lines with the new Ocean Mist and Red Hot inks. See how perfectly the stamped lines match with my Ocean Mist 4-inch card base (love it!):
Those cut little hearts are from Becky’s set, too! The sentiment was stamped onto Becky’s Silhouette cut with Jet Black Archival ink and popped up on foam tape.
Our last, but not least, featured set today is Simple Hearts by Tami Mayberry:
I’m a little stuck on Valentine cards, can you tell?!! What can I say -- it's one of my very favorite cardmaking holidays! So here’s another one that uses five of the patterned papers from Gina’s new Smitten 6x6 patterned paper pack –- I love how all the colors in the papers coordinate beautifully with our cardstock – here, I used Innocent Pink:
I stamped the darling LOVE sentiment and double heart with Gina’s new Color Companions Cherry Red ink, onto White Heavy Base Weight Cardstock, then used the larger solid heart stamp to stamp the insides of the hearts with Innocent Pink ink.
A 1-3/4” circle punch was used to cut out the double heart, which is covered in Star Dust Stickles and popped up on foam tape over the white paper heart doily. Gina’s new Color Companions wide Red Hot Double Stitched Ribbon ties everything together.
