A FREE WORKSHOP CLASS FOR THE 2017 SEASON!
One lucky person will win a pass to attend a single Copic Coloring Workshop class of their choice in the US or Canada in the 2017 season!
So how do you win?
You will need to answer the 6 questions at the bottom of this post! There is a question related to each of our bloggers today, so you will have to check out each of their posts! Then send a quick email to the last blogger, Michelle Houghton, with your answers (more on that below).
I couldn't let you visit here today without showing you a little artwork I've been working on . . . something that is sweet, succulent and screams Summer to me!
(Bold products are linked below in the supply section):
These cute Concord & 9th Pop Art Pineapples were stamped with these Distress Inks onto watercolor paper (the blue pineapple turned out very close to my favorite Copic color, BG53!):
Then I spritzed the stamped pineapples with water and allowed the colors to run a bit, to create a hand watercolored look! I also took a waterbrush and spread around some of the color, adding to the hand watercolored look.
Next, I did a little outlining with my Copic 0.3 Black Multiliner, to give the pineapples the look of being hand drawn! I didn't have to worry about the Multiliner bleeding with the watercolors, since Multiliners are waterproof and archival ... just in case I wanted to do any additional watercoloring!
I liked the pop of black outlines with the bright pineapples, but you could also use coordinating colored Multiliners (which is what I started out thinking I would do!). There are LOTS of color options for your Multiliners -- You can find them all HERE!
Multiliners are also:
- Fade resistant, pigment-based ink
- Available in black and 8 colors: wine, cobalt, olive, gray, warm gray, sepia, brown and pink
- Cobalt, wine and olive available in 4 nib sizes: 0.05 mm, 0.1 mm, 0.3 mm and 0.5 mm
- Other options are available in 9 nib sizes: 0.03 mm, 0.05 mm, 0.1 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm, Brush Small and Brush Medium
- Multiliner Sets: available in a variety of combinations
I finished the card with a thin black border behind the pineapple piece, and popped it up on X-Press It Foam Tape. The pretty thanks script sentiment is from Essentials by Ellen Fancy Thanks stamp set.
