Ahhh, the Texas bluebonnets (our state flower) are in full bloom right now and we got some good photos this weekend. We happened to find a nice field here in town with no cluttering buildings, cars or freeways in the background, believe it or not! It's just not spring until we get our annual bluebonnet pictures and last year it wasn't wet enough for them to grow, so I've missed them! Above is our oldest daughter, Alix (7).
But along with the beautiful flowers, of course, come bees and ants. Sooooo, after my youngest (Alyssa, 4-1/2) saw the first bee, it was very difficult to get her to look at the camera! Then there was the ant crawling up her leg . . . needless to say, I barely got the photo below of both of them, let alone one of her by herself! I snapped that one and they declared the photo session was OVER . . . so this was the best I got!
Please share below what your favorite ritual of Spring is. I'm off to do some more fun (as opposed to deadline) stamping, so check back tomorrow to see what it is!
Hmm...I don't know that it's really a ritual but my favorite thing about Spring is when you walk outside first thing in the morning and you can take a deep breath of that crisp, clean air. It doesn't get much better than that!

Sharon, your daughters are darling! One of my favorite things about spring, aside from the fact that it's golf season once again, is hearing the birds sing. How I miss that in the winters of Nebraska. The cardinals are especially fun to listen to.

There's something about blowing bubbles on a warm and sunny day! My two little boys have been enjoying the sunshine and my ever emerging garden.

Oh my...it is so pretty there...we have had more snow in Calgary again! I love when everything finally warms up and is dry enough to go on some walks with my kids!

GORGEOUS!!
My fav thing about spring? Planting the tomatoes and vegies in our small garden for summer harvest! That and all the flowers blooming, crisp days, and longer daylight hours, to name just a few.

Hi Sharon,
The girls are beautiful as always what great pictures. Those flowers are beautiful. I wish we had something like those here. I love all the blooms that start in spring so nice and fresh...nothing here yet though everything is still brown and yucky.

Oh, Sharon! Your girls are such beautiful, sweet things! LOVE the pics. . . you know one of my rituals, LOL! I found another field, and now that it's drying out a little, we're going to go back this weekend for some more pics. The flowers are fluffier now than when I first went. Yeah, I missed last year, too!

Hi Sharon! I too am sure it is spring when we have taken our bluebonnet pictures. They are in full bloom here in the WOODLANDS but I have had such bad allergies this spring I haven't been able to get the girls out for a photo session. Maybe that is really my ritual, being miserable with itchy eyes, sneezing, and sinus headaches!! :) Your little ones are beautiful and don't worry we have the same problems when it comes time for Bluebonnet pictures.
