Friday my preorder of Marvy scalloped punches arrived from PaperTrey Ink, along with the panic of where to store all of them! So a trip to one of my favorite organization stores was in order for the weekend . . . here's what I found:
These great stacking shoe-box like clear storage drawers from The Container Store fit just a little bit of space I had left under one of my crafting desks (I craft in an L-shape just to the left of this photo, so these will be right within easy reach). Each drawer unit measures approximately 7.5" wide x 7" tall x 15" deep (to the back). The drawers easily pull all the way out (see photos below), if you want to take the drawer with you or sit it on your desk. They can also stack side-by-side and have clips to hold them in place. Unfortunately, I'm not finding these at the online store but they are very similar to these at the bottom of page 2 (but mine were only $8.99 each), or some clear shoebox drawers on the 3rd page (if that link doesn't work, try navigating at the top of the page to Shop by Category > Storage > Drawers). Perhaps they are a new item and will be added online soon, or check the store location tab to see if there's a store near you. I'm sorry -- I know it's frustrating to see something you like and then maybe not be able to get them.
Here's how the Marvy scalloped punches fit in the drawers:
. . . just perfectly <whew>! I have one drawer reserved for each shape.

And a bonus I hadn't thought about -- the drawers are the perfect size to hold standard A2 (5.5" x 4.25") cards! So now I have additional space to store some cards:
And now just a little sneak peek of something I've been working on that I'll share with you after I announce the winner of the giveaway on Monday:
So be sure to check back tomorrow!
And speaking of sneak peeks, be sure to head over to Nichole Heady's blog to see a sneak peek of the next PaperTrey Ink stamp set that will be released June 15!
Be sure to check out my giveaway in the post below . . . the entries will be held open until 10pm CST tonight, so there's still time for you to enter!
Ok, I WANT and need one of these. Sharon - you are the the Organizaton Queen! PLEASE come and visit me. You are also the Punch Queen. I've never seen the blue and yellow Marvys. I love it that you've labled all of your drawers.

Thanks for sharing this great storage idea! I'm busy working on our new home - we just got the keys friday and I'm nearly exhausted from cleaning and getting ready to actually move in. Your shared thoughts help with my plans for my new art studio.

What great storage you found! I'm coveting all your scalloped rectangle punches you now have. I am trying so desperately to be good (for my July 1 SU order) and it is so hard. Looking forward to whatever it is you're creating. It looks like it will be adorable.

Wow, lucky you to have ALL those punches.
Can you imagine how much it would cost to ship them all the way to the UK....?????....so I will have to be a good girl and wait till they come out over here in all the sizes.
Great storage ideas :)
