Yippee, it's a new year, I finally got to stamp, and we're back with Beate's Weekly Sketch Challenges! Be sure to check out this week's sketch and play along this weekend!
(Please bear with me, as this new year has brought me a new computer AND new editing software, all of which I'm having a little trouble with this morning! I'll probably be back to edit photos, until I get them right)!
This adorable image is Karen Lockhart's new release Tart of Hearts. It's also Ellen's Stamp of the Month, which means you get a great deal on this stamp AND a kit of supplies to make lots of projects with it!
I stamped the hearts with Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate on Curious Iridescent Poison Ivory cardstock and colored it with a blender pen and Stampin' Up! dye inks (Pomegranate, Regal Rose & Close to Cocoa).
The rose frame was made using Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped & Classic Squares embossing die-cuts. I punched holes around the frame and then laced pink polka dotted brown organdy ribbon through the holes and tied the bow to serve as the round element in the sketch. It is popped up with dimensionals over the focal image. Here's a closeup, so you can see a little more detail of the ribbon lacing and that gorgeous shimmer ivory cardstock:
The horizontal strip of cardstock is SU's Purely Pomegranate. The Chocolate Chip layer is stamped with Versamark with Cornish Heritage Farms' new backgrounder, Grid Paper. The 5" square card base is SU's Regal Rose.
Be sure check out all the other samples from awesome stampers Cambria Turnbow, Charmaine Ikach, Jenn Balcer, Laurie Schmidlin, Lori Craig and MaryJo Albright . . . have fun creating this weekend!
