It's Friday and time for another one of Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenges! Here's this week's sketch for you to work with:
And here's my sample:
For the focal image, I used Karen Lockhart's Bouquet and stamped it in Brilliance Graphite Black on Curious Iridescent Cryogen White cardstock, using Copic markers (more exact coloring details will follow in the next post, with a Copic coloring tutorial). Here are the colors I used:
Here's a closeup of the bouquet and that lovely shimmery cardstock:
I accented the bow with Copic's Red Spica glitter pen and the baby's breath is Ranger's White Opal Liquid Pearls. The image was cut and matted with Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic & Scalloped Rectangles and is popped up on dimensional foam tape.
The card base is Stampin' Up's Chocolate and these beautiful variegated papers are from Memory Box's Flirt collection. I distressed all the edges of the patterned papers with Tonic's Edge Distresser and inked them with ColorBox Chestnut Roan Liquid Chalk cat eye pad. On the right vertical strip, I used Ornare's Small Scalloped Edge Border piercing template:
PaperTrey Ink's sentiment from Borders & Corners-Oval set was stamped in Stampin' Up's Classic Regal Rose and cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic & Scalloped Ovals. It is popped up on dimensional foam tape. The beautiful pink pearl accents are from Ellen Hutson's store.
