With my 12 Inchies of Christmas series, I'm trying to think of some new and different ways to show you how to use Inchie Arts products, so how about a faux tile magnet made from Inchie squares?
This project came about when I happened to have a business card sized magnet lying on my work table next to some Inchie Arts Inchie Squares and I discovered that six tiles fit almost perfectly onto one magnet.
The magnets are 2" x 3.50". These came from Staples Office Supply in a box of 50 for $12.49, which makes them about .25 cents each -- a fairly economic project! I've also found the magnets at Office Depot for about the same cost.
I started by stamping Karen Lockhart's Della Robia Tree (#6031) with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto my favorite Neenah Classic Natural White cardstock and colored it entirely with Copic Spica Glitter pens -- this little tree packs a LOT of sparkle impact!
A little bit of Copic G40 Sketch marker was used to fill in the tree. Copic R22 marker was used to color the base of the tree pot and the bow, then red Spica glitter pen was used to fill in areas. When the image is trimmed fairly close, it measures 2" x 3".
Then I cut the image into six 1-inch squares and then hand cut just a bit more off each side, so when the image is adhered to an Inchie Square there would be a small mat around each piece, resembling grout lines. I inked the edges of each square with Ranger's Antique Linen Distress Ink.
I adhered the cut squares to Inchie Arts Black Inchie Squares. Since I had 1/2-inch of space left over vertically on the magnet that the Inchie Squares didn't quite fill, I decided to add a sentiment. I stamped Karen Lockhart's Season's Greetings, cut it out and also inked the edges:
The magnet has a peel-off backing with adhesive already on it, so I just placed my sentiments at the top and bottom and filled in with the Inchie Squares. You could use these magnets to include in your holiday cards, as little gifts.
I decided I wanted to display mine on my Inchie Arts 5-inch square Magnetic Display Board which I had covered with a pretty generic/seasonless floral paper, and you may remember from an earlier post:
But I thought it might be nice to have a different look this winter, so I flipped it over and covered the back with a beautiful paper from Memory Box's Gingercake 6x6 pad.
Now I have a double-sided Magnetic Display board, on which to display some winter & holiday themed Inchies!
I'll be continuing with some more 12 Inchies of Christmas this week, so check back in! Wishing all of you an early very Merry Christmas. I remember this site has been a favorite one of mine in the past and a friend sent me the link again this holiday season, so I thought I'd share it with all of you:
You are, by far, the "cleverist" stamper I know Ü I can't believe you are showing such adorable stuff when I haven't even started my Christmas cards yet Ö I'm going to have to put you in my SPAM box until after Christmas, Sharon (just kiddin')

I admit I am head over heels over your inchies. Every one of them since inception. There must be a 12-step program out there just for me.
