Today Taylor is celebrating the one year anniversary of her Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge! Each of the ladies on the Weekly Cupcake Crew has designed their own sketch for the celebration. I'm featuring Jackie Pedro's sketch challenge. You can check out the sketch on her blog, see her sample, and find out about the prize you can win by participating!
Please be sure to visit these ladies who are also sampling this sketch: Denise Marzec, Jenn Diercks and Tammy Hershberger.
For my card, I decided I wanted plain cupcakes (not a kissing couple), so I inked just the cupcake outlines (from the Love is Sweet stamp set) with Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped onto Choice Buttercream cardstock:
They were colored with these Copic markers: R20, R29, E25, E27, BG10. Star Dust Stickles covers the cupcake icing and heart. I die cut the cupcakes with Classic Oval Nestabilities and the large circle with Classic Circle Nestabilities. The papers, brads & ribbon I used are all from Taylored Expressions' Valentine Key Ingredients kit.
That cute sentiment is also from the Love is Sweet stamp set and I swear the ribbon matches the paper in real life -- it's just super glittery and picked up the lighting strangely! The tiny rhinestones I used on this card were adhered with Sakura's Quickie Glue Pen and are from a great spin-top carousel package that Taylor has back in stock at the store, Taylor's Tiny Twinkles. It contains over 400 multi-colored tiny rhinestones for just $3.99. And are you ready for this? Starting today (Friday, January 23), Taylor is running a CHA Special through Wednesday, January 28: Buy 2, get 1 FREE!! And you can also get free shipping on your orders over $40 during this timeframe, with this coupon code: FREESHIP0109 (all caps; zeros, not the letter O; no spaces).
Don't forget to check out Taylor's blog, the anniversary celebration headquarters, for all of the sketch challenges, as well as the announcement of the big Grand Prize for one random winner who participates in ALL 9 of the sketch challenges! We hope you'll help us celebrate this yummy occasion!
I leave for sunny southern California and the CHA show tomorrow (please wish my husband luck at home alone with the girls!), but I hope to have some blog updates for you while I'm away, right from the show floor! If there's anything in particular you are wanting to see, please list it in the comments below and I'll try to check it out. Always on the top of my list are Ranger, BasicGrey, Webster's Pages, Cosmo Cricket, Maya Road, and the list goes on! Did you all hear that Paris Hilton will be there promoting her new scrapbooking line for teens? Hummm, that should be interesting (and I'll leave it at that)!
Happy Cupcake anniversary weekend!
I love this card Sharon! Those glittery cupcakes rock! I also like how you added Taylor's Twinkles! They look great! :D

Cute card Sharon! Have a wonderful and safe time at the CHA show (good luck to hubby and girls at home). Can't wait to hear all about the new things that catch your eye!

Adorable card - and I love those rhinestones. Great finishing touch. The stardust stickles look great too. How do you get it to look so even? Do you use a paintbrush. Mine usually comes out lumpy/not even, so I most times just use it to dot flowers, butterfly wings and for small spaces like that.
Safe travels and have a fun time at CHA! I can't wait to read about all the great stuff.
