Sorry I've been away for the past few days, but I haven't been feeling very well. Here's a Spring notecard I made earlier this week. I've recently been rediscovering my long-neglected Cuttlebug embossing folders & dies and used one of my favorites, here -- Bow Frame A2 embossing folder. I noticed Eclectic Paperie has this particular A2 embossing folder in stock right now and also has a lot of their Cuttlebug products on sale!
I embossed the Bow Frame onto an Inchie Arts Inchie Notes card (from the blue/lavender collection) that is 3.5" square. The notecard has a white core, so after embossing it, I sanded the embossed areas and edges of the notecard to bring out the white core.
The Itty Bitty Birds and Itty Bitty Nest from Lockhart Stamp Company were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto an Inchie Arts White Inchie Square and colored with Copic markers. Then I highlighted areas with some more of those new softer, lighter pretty Copic Spica Glitter pens (available in April):
I used Baby Blue, Sand, Buttermilk, Mint & Peach -- the colors sound SO yummy, don't they?!! This notecard came together very quickly and easily and would be very easy to mass produce. I think it really says Spring, don't you? I know my allergy symptoms have certainly said Spring is near this week -- ugh!
this is really cute love it
hugs

Oh, now this is cute, Sharon! I love that darling little image. What a great idea to use it in the embossed frame. I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling sick.

Hang on Sharon...just give me a minute to collect myself off the floor and get back into my chair. Needless to day I loved your card so much that I popped on over to Eclectic Paperie and purchased a few embossing folders! Sensational card.

Beautiful card Sharon. I love those little birds in the inchie. They sure do sparkle. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I have seasonal allergies which I don't enjoy but I am looking forward to spring and some warmer weather! :)
