This beautiful JustRite butterfly center from their Harmony Classic Circle III Stamp Ensemble is the center of attention in this frame I created. The butterfly image measures approximately 2.25" and was the perfect center to these Spellbinders Dahlia die cut flower.
The butterfly was inked with ColorBox warm red, dark moss and dark brown fluid chalk inks and stamped onto Neenah Classic Classic Cream cardstock. I find these chalk inks are my favorites to use with most of the JustRite stamps. The butterfly center was die cut with Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities and then sponged with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink. Patterned papers are from Fancy Pants' Aged Florals and Holly Jolly collections.
The wood frame base is about $1.99 (or maybe .99 cents) from Michaels, painted with Bordeaux Making Memories acrylic paint. The copper embellishment is copper foil cut with Spellbinders Grand Lace Border die, then painted and distressed with acrylic paints.
I noticed there's a preview of a new JustRite stamp set on their blog today. You can also see some of the other new products that will be coming out soon HERE on their store site.
Supplies:
- Butterfly stamp and wooden circle stamp block - JustRite Stampers
- Spellbinders dies, Neenah cardstock, pure copper foil, and Distress Ink available from Ellen Hutson LLC
Tomorrow is another Weekend Sketch Challenge, so I hope you'll check back in!
Oh my goodness, Sharon, this is so lovely. The copper distressing is GORGEOUS and gives the entire piece a nice old-world charm. TFS.
