Here's that good old fashioned Lemon Pound Cake recipe I promised you! Of course, the perfect accent for this 4" x 6" recipe card was Karen Lockhart's Lemons & Bay. I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and then left some of the bay leaves sticking "outside the box" when I trimmed around the 1-inch square image:
The image was mounted to an Inchie Arts White Inchie Square and then colored with these Copic markers and that lovely new Sand Copic Spica Glitter Pen that will be coming next month:
The soft, pretty paper I used is from Webster's Pages Feather Your Nest collection. I cut out one of the butterflies from this sheet and placed him at the top of the card:
I printed the recipe onto Neenah cardstock and then trimmed it to approximately 3.25" x 4.75". The recipe is continued on the reverse side and there's also a lemon glaze included. Here's the copy and paste version for you:
Golden Lemon Pound Cake from Sharon Harnist
2 C. sugar
1 C. butter, softened
4 eggs
3 C. All Purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 C. buttermilk
1 Tbl freshly grated lemon peel
1 Tbl lemon juice
Heat oven to 325°F. Combine sugar and butter in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy. Continue beating, adding eggs one at a time, until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; gradually add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt alternately with buttermilk until well mixed. Stir in lemon peel and 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
Spread batter into greased and floured 12-cup Bundt pan. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely.
Recipe Tip:
Cake can be baked in loaves. Divide batter between 2 greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pans. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely.
Glaze Ingredients:
1-1/4 C. powdered sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
1 to 2 Tbl milk
Stir together powdered sugar, 2 teaspoons lemon juice and enough milk for desired glazing consistency in small bowl. Drizzle over cooled cake.
Enjoy!
This is SERIOUSLY cute Sharon! I just love it! Your inchie is just too, too adorable! TFS.

What a lovely recipe card. It is sure to become some lucky recipient's family heirloom. I hope you signed it on the back. As far as your recipe goes -- I've passed it on to my husband (the family cook and baker). I'll let you know when he makes it and may even blog about it! Thanks so much!
