Oops, sorry I'm posting my Weekend Sketch Challenge late today. I didn't think we were going to post today, so I took my girls to the Hannah Montana movie this morning! Laurie provided the sketch for this weekend ... you can find it, along with her sample, over at her blog.
I kept my card pretty simple and used my favorite Lockhart Bouquet. It's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Cryogen Poison Ivory shimmer cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I used Ranger's Petal Pink Liquid Pearls for the baby's breath.
The bouquet was die cut and embossed with Classic Oval Nestabilities and matted with Classic Scalloped Oval Nestabilites cut from Stampin' Up Chocolate cardstock. Card base is Memory Box Begonia, patterned paper is Basic Grey's Porcelain. I used Fiskar's All-A-Fleur border punch to accent the left side. For the horizontal elements, I used Papertrey Ink's Ivory wide grosgrain & satin ribbons.
Don't forget to check out the samples Jenn & Charmaine have for you today, too. I hope you all have a lovely Good Friday and happy Easter weekend!
I always LOVE a little whimsy in a classic design and you hit the nail on the head!!
Wonderful, just wonderful, TFS.

Sharon - your card is adorable. I love those liquid pearls but it's your superb coloring and blending that steals the show.
