Today, the JustRite Stampers designers will be showing you samples made with round #2 of new products released at Winter CHA ( <==You can click on that link to see all the new products you can pre-order now, that will begin shipping on May 15!). I hope you'll sit back & relax and check out the links below, to see some amazing projects! While you're doing that, I have some coffee for you this morning!
You could use this gift set idea for almost any occasion, if the recipient likes coffee ... Mother's Day, Father's Day, teacher appreciation, birthday, retirement. You could also substitute the bag of coffee beans for a bag of loose tea, if the recipient's's drink of choice happens to be tea.
I started by customizing a travel mug with pretty papers from My Mind's Eye-Bloom & Grow and this beautiful coffee cup center and border from JustRite's A Little Caffeine Set.
I stamped both the center and border with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Neenah Classic Cream cardstock. I cut them with a large Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities die and, leaving the cardstock in the die, airbrushed Copic BG72 over a mask I made with a smaller circle die cut:
Then I colored the coffee cup with these Copic markers (the one not labeled on the end is E57) and Turquoise Spica Glitter Pen:
I did the airbrushing mainly because when this paper insert fits into the tumbler, it can't have a lot of bulk. This gives the appearance of another layer and adds some interest. I love all the different types of coffees listed on this border! And I'm also very excited that JustRite has come out with a lot of pretty new artwork in their centers, that can be colored!
Next, I altered a gift card tin, covering the top with more paper from the MME-Bloom collection:
I wanted to stamp this JustRite "Friends" center (also from the Caffeine set) on this pre-made tag but with a round wood stamper, it's a little difficult to use a stamp positioner. So here's what I did ... I trimmed the rubber center sentiment on the sides and then fit it onto the Harmony Rectangle Wood Stamper. (I only trimmed off the sides so I wouldn't get any extra ink on them. You can leave the rubber intact as a circle and it will still fit on the rectangle stamper just fine.):
I omitted inking the little coffee mug at the top, since it wouldn't fit on my tag. Then I used the stamp positioner to make sure I got this sentiment centered on the tag. I wanted to share this, so you could see that you don't have to always use round centers as a round cut-out!
Here's the inside of the tin ... the tag on the front is on a belly band that slips off. A gift card sits in the clear insert:
Last in the gift set is a bag of coffee beans:
I used another center stamp from the Caffeine set, the coffee beans. I also loved this elegant border: "Good Friends, Good Coffee ... Two of Life's Great Perks!" It was stamped and colored the same as above, adding a custom lighter Copic YR31 glow around the beans and inking the edges with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. It's mounted on a mat die cut with Classic Oval Nestabilities, instead of a scalloped circle, just for a different label-type of look. The dotted paper is more from the Bloom collection and the brown cardstock is WorldWin's Deep Coffee Brown -- very fitting, I thought, LOL!
