Today, Our Craft Lounge is celebrating a few different things ... the most important of which is co-owner Joy Kennedy's birthday! Joy loves Kona the Turtle (see below!), so in honor of sweet Joy's special day, OCL is releasing this great set, Hangin' Loose With Kona -- just in time for the start of summer! Cowabunga, Dude!
Isn't this sweet Kona the Turtle adorable?!! And he's drawn by OCL illustrator, Marianne Walker, of course! I swear, that girl has more natural talent in her pinky finger than I'll ever have in my lifetime (grin)! Marianne certainly knows how to draw images that love to be colored ... Kona is so much fun to color, I was smiling the whole time! Here are the Copic markers I used to color him:
This stamp set will be available exclusively from eclectic Paperie, beginning right now! Won't he make adorable summer party gathering invitations and birthday cards?
You can join me in wishing Joy a very happy birthday, by surfing over to Cambria's blog, where you'll find a list of everyone participating in a blog hop for Joy's birthday today, all showcasing this sweet new stamp set! Happy Birthday, Joy!!
That's all the artwork I have for you today, but please check back tomorrow for the Weekend Sketch Challenge. And don't forget to enter for the chance to win the set of Copic Ciao markers I'm giving away in the post below this one!

Excellent, excellent work, Sharon!! I absolutely LOVE your card and it looks like you had a ball coloring it. It looks professionally colored as all of your work does. You have a body full of talent, your's may be different from Marianne's but talent is talent...so you just get right back on that pedastal that you worked so hard for and I put you on, that is where you belong, LOL. TFS.
