Welcome to JustRite Stampers' Holiday Release & Blog Hop! This is my favorite time of the year and JustRite really hit the ball out of the park, in my opinion, with all of these gorgeous stamps! There are a lot of wonderful, nostalgic images and beautiful sentiments tied up in SIX new holiday stamp sets for you!
On my projects today, I used images from the Something Sweet set, which includes six borders & centers (shown at left). These stamps fit onto the 2-3/8" round wood stamper.
The project I have for you today is some homemade hot cocoa mix (including the recipe & tag download!), packaged with a customized mug:
To customize the mug, I stamped the cocoa mug center image with white pigment ink onto red cardstock and then heat embossed it with white detail embossing powder.
The "Wishing You Warm Thoughts" border was stamped with red ink and die cut separately, then the two layered together and adhered to the mug and adorned with red gemstones.
The gift tag tied around the bottle (recycled frappuccino) of cocoa mix was inked separately with red and chocolate inks. The center was die cut separately, the edges inked and then adhered to the chocolate border. Instructions for making the hot cocoa were computer printed, die cut, and attached to the back of the gift tag. I think this sentiment would also be beautiful on a Christmas card.
The patterned recipe card measures 4"x6" overall and the printed recipe portion is approximately 3.50"x5". The recipe and tag instructions were computer printed onto cardstock and I've included the PDF download for you, here: Download Hot Cocoa Mix from Sharon Harnist . Enjoy!
The medallion on the recipe card was made by stamping the mug of cocoa once again -- this time with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with these Copic markers:
Some Clear Copic Spica Glitter Pen accents the snowflakes & steam and white gel pen accents the marshmallows & candy cane.
I think this gift set will make great teacher gifts for the holidays, a wonderful gift for neighbors or the hostess of your holiday party ... so she can kick back after the party and warm up with a nice cup of cocoa!
I hope you'll continue on the blog hop, to see all the great creations made with these wonderful holiday stamps from JustRite!
