A challenge was issued to the Taylored Expressions Baker's Dozen designers and now also to YOU! . . .
Create a set of 4-10 identical or very similar Christmas cards and show at least one photo of your cards in a full group shot. Post to your blog or any on-line gallery and then go to the Taylored Expressions blog and post a link to your cards! You'll have 2 weeks to do so (you are not required to use Taylored Expressions stamps, but we would love it if you do)! Find out all the details at the Taylored Expressions blog this morning.
Hopefully this challenge will help you get a good start on your Christmas cards – sometimes we need a little push to get going, don't we?!! Here's what I came up with (and now all our teachers at school are covered for Christmas cards, YAY!):
Easy steps for mass production:
- Stamp and die cut JOY images on Choice Buttercream cardstock (I only die cut a portion of the image since it would be tucked under the patterned paper -- this also saves a little cardstock when mass producing)
- Color images with Copic markers (shown below); glitter edges of die cuts & bird's hat
3. Cut and make card bases out of Prism Island Mist Light cardstock (standard A2 size/top fold: 5.50" x 4.25")
4. Cut patterned paper into 2-1/2" x 5-5/16" strips; punch lower edge
5. Assemble card as shown, finishing with tied ribbon*
*I find it easier and quicker to wrap a flat piece of ribbon around the cardfront and then make the bow (with a bow maker) and stick it on with a Glue Dot. This way, you are assured of a perfect bow every time OR you can just tie a simple knot (you'll use less ribbon this way) -- both versions are shown below:
Be sure to check out all the Merry Mass Production inspiration these members of the Baker's Dozen designers also have for you today: Taylor, Jami Sibley, Karen Motz, Donna Baker, Jackie Pedro, Sankari Wegman, Dawn Easton, Charmaine Ikach and Jodi Collins.
We hope you'll take us up on this challenge and get a head start on your holiday cardmaking!

Sharon these are really darling! And I love the tip about only die cutting a portion to save cs...this might sound dumb, but I honestly never thought of doing that!
