Now how about some eye candy?!! Here's what I have for you, using Holiday Wonder. Both of my girls have either received or made Reindeer Food every year since they were about 3 years old, so it's quite a tradition that we sprinkle it on the lawn/sidewalk on Christmas Eve. They really look forward to it each year! So here is our package of Reindeer Food this year.
These clear bubble party favors are really fun to alter ... there's no end to what you can put in them! I know it's a little difficult to see in the photo, but the bubble protrudes up about 1/2-inch. The packages are about 5" x 3.75" and inside mine is the Reindeer Food mix of oats and colored sugar crystals. The favors open up clam shell-style at the top, so they are easy to fill. I covered the back of the shell with some of the Cosmo Cricket paper from the Very Merry Christmas Bundle and then stamped and die cut my topper:
Accenting the topper is another one of the chipboard snowflakes that come in the Christmas Key Ingredients Kit. I covered it with cream pigment ink and then heat embossed it with sparkly embossing powder. I die cut two Spellbinders Labels 4 from Prism Blush Red Dark (my FAVORITE Prism color, which is included in the Christmas Key Ingredients Kit!) and offset them to make the mat behind my stamped image. (Sigh) ... I adore nostalgic, classic Christmas images and this Santa with reindeer silhouette will be showing up in a LOT of my holiday projects this year! And I thought this classic story sentiment would make a perfect topper for one of our Christmas Eve traditions!
On the back of the package you can add this poem, if the recepient isn't familiar with Reindeer Food:
Be sure to take this magic food and sprinkle on the lawn,
On Christmas, Santa's reindeer travel miles before the dawn.
The smell of oats and glitter path will guide them on their way
And you'll wake up to Santa's gifts next morn on Christmas Day!
