Today's Taylored Expressions sneak peek is Sweet Indulgence, illustrated by Jessie Oleson. If you've been waiting to see what Cuppie's been up to this month, here she is -- indulging at the spa! My sweet oldest daughter turned 10 yesterday (sigh...where has the time gone?!!) and here's a little gift set I made for her.
I scored these pretty pink Champagne & Strawberries bath products from the Target Dollar Spot a while back (knowing they would come in handy with two little girls!) so I dressed them up with custom labels to match the birthday card. I used the Luxurious Labels stamp set that was previewed yesterday ... in a more traditional way this time!
I stamped the bubble labels with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Choice Buttercream cardstock and colored them with the Copic markers shown below. Star Dust & Cotton Candy Stickles cover the bubbles! The cute little bath tub was stamped separately, cut out, and adhered to the bubble label -- I love the retro style of this tub! Then the cute wording from Luxurious Lablels was added for each product.
The labels were layered onto Spellbinder Classic Scalloped Oval Nestabilities die cuts from some of the great patterned paper from this month's Spa Key Ingredients Kit (more details about the kit are below).
I love how well all of this month's stamp sets coordinate together ... see how well Cuppie (from today's sneak peek of the Sweet Indulgence set) in her bath tub coordinates with the bubble label and bath tub from yesterday's sneak peek of Luxurious Labels? I love that!! I paper pieced Cuppie's tub and colored her and the bath product labels with these Copic markers:
Cuppie was cut out and popped up on foam tape on another Classic Scalloped Oval Nestabilities die cut -- I outlined the embossed scalloped edge with white gel pen. For a surprise interactive element to this card (kids love that, you know!) ... I made the sentiment circle a tab that pulls out another surprise sentiment:
The circle label from Sweet Indulgence was stamped with Memento Rose Bud and the number candles from For The Love Of Cupcakes fit perfectly into the center! A hidden strip attached to the circle tab has the "time for the bubbly" sentiment on it and slides over to the right side of the card where the cut out is, when the tab is pulled. The striped piece that was die cut out of the lower striped part of the card (to make the little window) was placed on the dotted strip that slides behind the striped paper. So when the tab isn't pulled, the window is concealed. I hope all that makes sense -- if not, let me know and I'll try to add some better photos explaining it!
<==This month's bundle is detailed to the left, which includes yesterday's sneak peek of the Luxurious Labels stamp set along with today's Spa Key Ingredients Kit and those great Spa/Potion Bottles. A wonderful bonus this month, to tie in with the whole spa theme, is a wonderful chenille gel neck wrap!
Spa Key Ingredients details: The fun patterned paper I used today is Whirlybird from the My Mind's Eye Penny Lane collection. Prism cardstock colors included are: Intense Mint, Intense Pink (I used here on my card), Frosted Kiwi, Razzleberry Light, and Frosted Teal. 5 yards of coordinating ribbon, beauty brads (blowdryers & lipstick), and an assortment of sheer flowers and leaves.
