I promised I'd be back with more photos of my recently added Copic storage, the Color Cubbie from Studio 3 Solutions. I had two "towers" and added two more:
I'm a very happy crafter now, with plenty of room for the whole line of Copic Sketch markers (334) PLUS the 24 Spica Glitter Pens! These make my markers easy to access, right in front of me on my desk -- since I use them on just about every crafty thing I make! Remember, you can purchase the "towers" individually, to match up with the amount of storage you need.
For a size comparison, here's a full-sized Memento ink pad -- it's about the size of one of the little cubbie openings. You may wonder what I'm using my old storage for now?
My QuicKutz Magpie unit on the left is now holding ink pads within easy reach: Memento full-sized and Dew Drops stored in QuicKutz die containers (color coded with buttons on the front), Ranger Distress ink pads, and adhesive in the drawer. You can also see here how many more markers the Color Cubbies can hold vs. one Magpie.
I hope the photos help you make your Color Cubbie decisions!
I bought one and just love it!! I need to order more. Perfect size and perfect for the copics!! I would recommend them to everyone! Affordable too!

I bought three from your last blog telling us about them. They arrived today. I'm filling them up now and in between catching up on some emails. Thanks for the tip. They're great!

I am such an organizational freak that I love these. My problem, no room. I share my creative space with my husband's computer and the diningroom. Would be very much interested in knowing how others utilize their crafting spaces when it has to be shared with other uses of their homes.

Since reading your original post, I've bought two cubbies and I see more in my future. I love that they are compact and do the job perfectly. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the price!

I bought one and love it! It is really well built and looks great on my desk! Just started my copic collection so it will be a while before I need another one. I told my husband see look at all the extra space, I need to fill it with more copics. :)
Thanks for the pics!

I love these towers, I bought one as well...I don't have quite as many Copics as you...yet, but I do love the shelf and how it fits nicely on my desk and it within easy reach. Thanks for sharing!

Well, I just ventured into the land of Copic and now I must learn how to use them. What is the best paper to use when coloring with Copics?
Posted by: deb | February 13, 2010 at 09:39 AM
Ok, so I am coming over to use your copics since I don't have any. :D JK
I seriously want Copics. I just know that if I start I will not stop. I think I might just order one of the big sets this summer. DO you buy yours separately or in sets?

Heather,
I’ve
never found the perfectly pre-packaged set to start out with Copics. I think
it’s best (and more economical) to purchase your markers as YOU use them.
Meaning, what you like best and will use. And then I would get two markers in
the same color family/value so you can do some shading. Example: R22 R24
or R27.
I
hope that helps!

Sharon I LOVE your new Copic home! I want to thank you so VERY much for sharing this info with us!!! I too was looking for an expanded home for my Copics as I have the same magpie and as my marker family grew they all don't fit in there now! I ordered my new cubbies yesterday! :) Thanks again for sharing!
Happy Valentine's!

What a great site. I just found the perfect gifts for my wife at Christmas. Your storage units are the bomb. She'll be pleased. Finding the right storage has always been a challenge.
