Welcome to the JustRite Stampers design team April release blog hop! Today, each of our designers will be showcasing a different project using one of FIVE new stamp sets from the April release, so we hope you'll sit back, relax and enjoy! All these stamp sets are now available for preordering, two are shipping now, and the remainder will be shipping by this Saturday, April 24! If you haven't visited my blog in the past few days, please scroll on down below -- I have samples for each of the four April stamp sets that have been introduced so far!
Today I'm using Applique again -- I love these square medallions and how versatile they can be! As opposed to yesterday's soft, pastel Spring card using this set, today I decided to go shabby and create my own patterned background!
I stamped the medallion with chocolate ink onto cream cardstock and then colored the flowers in the pattern with Copic R20 marker, to coordinate with the blush Labels One die cut cardstock I used. You can see the subtle difference this makes in the pattern:
Think of all the different colors you can use to create your own custom papers, even coloring the medallions in more! I used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to easily align the medallions. If you are looking for a similar ROUND medallion to use, check out JustRite's new Kaleidoscope set!
I inked the edges of my paper and machine stitched it with chocolate thread. This pretty sentiment is from JustRite's Joyful Hearts set. A chocolate suede blossom, cream Prima flower and pretty chocolate Zva swirl crystals finish my card.
I hope you'll check out these other JustRite designers who also have projects for you today, starting at the JustRite Inspiration Blog: Debbie Olson · Becca Feeken · Michele Kovack · Kazan Clark · Heidi Blankenship · Michelle Wooderson · Kellie Fortin · Sharon Harnist <you're here! · Sankari Wegman · Kathy Jones · Angela Barkhouse
