Before I announce the winner of my giveaway, I wanted to repost my JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas project from Wednesday (the post below this one). JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #4

My project for you today is the beginning of a series of 5" x 7" framed holiday home decor. Can you guess what word I'll be spelling out?!! The black 5" x 7" frame came from the dollar store. The 3.50" tall chipboard letter N is a little over 1/4-inch thick and came from Hobby Lobby (or craftsetc.com): I covered the letter with Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather paper, sanded the edges with Basic Grey's Precision File Set, and then distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Fall Scrap Page & Giveaway!

Here's the Fall scrap page I came here to share today: It's another one of my 6-inch scrapbooking-for-the-fridge-magnets! I like having something pretty to look at on my refrigerator, to hold the school lunch menu or other important school papers. JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #3

Welcome to JustRite Stampers’ 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops #3! Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps! So mark your calendars for Wednesdays at 9am Central for great Christmas gift, card & project ideas, starting at the JustRite Inspiration blog! The project I have for you today uses the 20-piece (10 borders & 10 centers) 1-3/16" round Holiday Cheer set: This is a 10.50" tall die cut felt tree that I found at a dollar store, or Target or Michael's dollar bin sometime last year (I'm sorry I can't remember which -- it wasn't still in the packaging). I made these ornaments for it by stamping 8 of the 10 center images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock and coloring them with Copic markers (colors listed below). New Copic Products at Hobby Lobby & Certification Updates!

I went shopping this week at Hobby Lobby and wanted to share what I found. You're probably used to seeing the Copic display over in the Fine Art section next to the Framing Department, but now they have some NEW Copic products over in the Scrapbooking area with the other markers and adhesives: See those empty pegs in the middle left of the photo above? Here's what is supposed to be hanging there: New Sketch 6-packs of Pale Pastels and Perfect Primaries! Here are the colors in the packs: Great selections -- you've got two shades of each color in the pack that work well together to give you some nice blending and shading! Both of my closest stores I checked this week were either sold out or haven't quite gotten their shipments out on the shelves yet, so keep checking back if you don't find them yet! Here's what else I found that they DID have in stock: Atyou Spica Glitter Pen set! And: Black Multiliners in both a Broad Nib and Fine Nib sets (only the Broad Nibs set was in stock at this store)! Shaker Ornament

JustRite Stampers' 12 Weeks of Christmas blog hops continues today (and every Wednesday up to Thanksgiving!) and this is my project for this week's hop #2 -- a shaker ornament! You can find more details about my ornament over at the JustRite Inspiration blog today (and find the list of 18 designers that also have JustRite Christmas projects for you today!), but here are the instructions on how to construct the shaker part of my ornament: I started by die cutting with Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament die: 1 piece of patterned paper (front of ornament) 3 pieces of coordinating thick cardstock (I used a pale plum) 1 piece of chipboard (I used Essentials by Ellen Craft-A-Board, which is a soft white color) (1) In the photo below, the patterned paper ornament on the left is already backed with the pale plum cardstock to give it more stability; the pale plum ornament on the right is the Craft-A-Board sandwiched with a piece of pale plum cardstock on each side: You'll also need a colored image for the inside of the shaker and some ribbon to tie at the top of the ornament. Just a few notes today ... 1 - I've updated my Copic Info page with currently open and changed status of Copic Certification classes. 2 - I've noticed some online retailers have received their shipments of Copic's new CHA products like the X-Press It Blending Card, High Tack Double-Sided Tape and pocket sized Color Swatch Book -- you can find them at Ellen Hutson LLC. 3 - This week's JustRite Friday Challenge is to make a Christmas tag and the prizes are sponsored by Spellbinders! September Wildflower Calendar

How did September slip up on us? Or at least me! I usually think of sunflowers when I think of September -- there are usually quite a few fields of them around my house this time of year. So I thought Gina K Design's new Wild at Heart stamp set by my friend, Melanie Muenchinger, would make a good sunflower'ish background paper and embellishment for my September calendar: I started by stamping Melanie's wildflower background stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Gina K's Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight Ivory cardstock and then just like black framed wildflower card I made, I colored the negative space of the stamped image (where the ivory cardstock shows through) with Copic markers YR23, Y15, YG03, and YG63. I love the "chalkboard" effect of using this stamp this way! The base of this calendar is 4-inch chipboard coasters. I cut my 3-inch downloadable calendar with Spellbinders Labels Eight die and airbrushed it while the cardstock was still in the die with Copic E33. Taylored Expressions 2nd Birthday Bash!

Today we are celebrating Taylored Expressions 2nd birthday and all of the new September release of stamps and products that are now available at the TE Store! I can’t believe it was 2 whole years ago that I was honored to be a part of the first Baker’s Dozen design team . . . good times! Today’s blog hop has 20 fabulous designers highlighting some new Taylored Expressions A La Carte stamps –- an ADORABLE line of belated birthday sets that were the brilliant concept of my sweet friend, Jami! Unfortunately Jami knows first hand just how late I always am with birthday cards and I feel like she may have had someone (like me!) in mind when her ideas were realized, LOL! My favorite Belated A La Carte Birthday set (each set comes with its own hilarious sentiments for both the outside as well as inside of your card) was this flock of adorable birds: Aren't those birds THE sweetest?!!
