January & 2011 Calendars!

Here they are, finally -- my 2011 downloadable calendars! I decided to offer a different shape & size this year, in addition to the smaller 3" and larger 4" grid calendars I've offered in the past. There is one slight change this year and I hope those of you that use my calendars for gifts, selling the calendars you make at craft shows and for personal projects will understand: I'm charging $2.50 for each type of downloadable calendar this year. You'll receive all 12 months of the particular size of calendar you purchase in a file that I will email you in PDF form and then it's yours to print as many times as you'd like, on any type of paper you wish. I'll accept PayPal checking account transfers or a mailed check/cash/money order (file will be emailed to you upon receipt of your cash or money order, or upon your check clearing my bank). I hope you understand the time and energy that goes into creating these downloads and won't mind the slight fee for my efforts! Beautiful Day!

Just a few quick notes before today's JustRite release blog post. I wanted to mention something to my FeedBlitz email newsletter subscribers: I don't know what's up with the links in my newsletter emails -- evidently clicking on the name of my most recent post is not taking you to that post on my blog any longer. Until I get that glitch worked out, you ARE able to click on my blog banner within that email, to be taken directly to the main page of my blog, where you can then view my most recent post. My apologies -- I'll try to get this fixed ASAP. And if you are a new visitor to my site through some Cricut lists, please know that I am (im)patiently awaiting my new Expression machine and will have some Cricut projects to share with you soon -- I can't wait, I've wanted to try this electronic/digital die cutting machine for ages! Today there's another new stamp set JustRite is previewing -- it's fabulous for any kind of thank you card or occasion you might need! I transformed this set of monogrammed notecards (the ones you can find in dollar bins but can never find YOUR monogram there!) into a usuable set of thank you cards. JustRite Stampers is previewing their December release this week and we're already thinking ahead to Spring! Sweet Sisters ~ Sweet Moments!

A very Merry Christmas Eve & Day to you all! I got in a scrappy mood today and put together this 12" page of my sweet daughters, using Webster's gorgeous Sweet Season papers! I think it will look fabulous hanging in my studio that I've been working at diligently cleaning up over the past few weeks. Hopefully I'll finally be done enough to show you some photos soon! Just in case you are not signed up to receive Ellen Hutson LLC's InTouch newsletters, a new venture has finally been unveiled: The introductory holiday issue of Create, an e-magazine that is filled with 50 pages of content! Mother Nature's Gifts

JustRite Stampers is introducing some pretty new floral stamps for Spring this week! I know, winter is barely arriving down here in the southern part of the U.S. where I live, but the papercrafting industry is always a few steps ahead! So I hope this pretty Dahlia brings a little sunshine to your day, wherever you are! I stamped the Dahlia flower (one of 3 different floral centers in this set) onto solid pink Basic Grey paper and then did a little shading with my Copic markers (colors are listed below). COPIC TIP: This is an easy way to get color to a large amount of space quickly and easily (stamping on colored paper), but still make it look like you made a lot of effort in coloring! The flower was cut out and popped up with foam tape over another solid die cut circle of BG paper, which was all layered into the center of the scroll border that I stamped with cocoa ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock. The edges of the border were sponged with Corduroy Distress Ink and pink Zva crystals added to the centers of the scroll work. The "Thinking of you" sentiment center was... Read more →

Garden Fairy Santa Cookies!

Isn't this new JustRite Garden Fairy the cutest?!! I decided she could do double-duty as a sugar plum fairy, sprinkling her magic fairy dust all over some cookies for Santa! I stamped the fairy onto Neenah Natural White cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored her with the Copic markers listed below. She was cut out and popped up on foam tape on a piece of darling Webster's Sweet Season Petite Pages trimmed to 4.25" x 6". I die cut coordinating Sweet Season snowflake paper using Spellbinders Big Scalloped Border Petites die and added it to the top of the card, then wove rose satin ribbon through the die cut holes. The snowflake medallion was made with JustRite's Clear Stamper 1-5/8" and Times New Roman 15-pt Font around the border, spelling out "Magic Cookies For Santa", stamped with Memento Rose Bud ink. The "Fairy Dust" sentiment is from Garden Fairy Seeds and was stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink. The medallion was die cut and layered onto a Spellbinders die cut snowflake. Of course, no fairy scene is complete, in my opinion, without a sprinkling of sparkle, so Star Dust Stickles accents the fairy's sugar duster and candy on... Read more →

Just Ducky!

Wow, I bet you all thought I'd been slacking off around here . . . sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I assure you, I've been busy! Life just gets busy around the holidays, doesn't it?!! And now with school out until the first of the year, my crafting time has been limited! Many thanks to those of you who wrote me to ask where I was! I did forget to show you a new JustRite cling stamp set by Elizabeth Dulemba, called Just Ducky. When I recently found myself needing some baby boy shower gift wrap and no time to go get some, I decided this cute little guy would make great gift wrap! So I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink all over a piece of 11" x 17" copy paper and quickly colored the images with my Copic markers. The matching gift card was made the same way, except stamped onto Copic's X-Press It Blending Card and the background airbrushed with BG000 marker. The card was die cut with Spellbinders Large Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities: JustRite's new custom dies were used to die cut the "Just for You" sentiment. I'll be back tomorrow with another...
