What better way to get excited about new products, than with a giveaway!! Leave a comment on this post, then Monday, January 10th, winners will be randomly selected and announced on each Copic designer's blog. Winners will be mailed a NEW 2011 Copic Color Swatch Book to keep track of their Copic collections! Three winners will be chosen from EACH of our designer's blogs, so after you check this blog, go visit the blogs of all the other designers. All comments are welcome, though the contest is only open to residents of the US & Canada.
You'll see a new name on the list of designers, Bianca Mandity, an altered artist and instructor from Indiana. Bianca is joining the Copic Instructor team to help with training Fine Art stores and Art Schools, so give her a big welcome, and look for more Altered Art and Fine Art events popping up on the Copic Calendar!

Be sure to check each blog each day this weekend for new product announcements. Leave a comment on each of today's giveaway blog posts, and come back on Monday to see if you've won a prize! Also on Monday (after all the new 2011 products have been revealed!) I'll have a brand new downloadable Copic color chart that will include all the new colors, for you to color in the marker colors you own!
I also have a quick Copic project to share today:
This is a 3-1/2" square sticky note cover I made with JustRite Stampers new The Greatest Joy stamp set -- I love these crocus flowers, paired with this gorgeous Webster's Pages papers! Here are the Copic colors I used:
Notice that little pot of Opaque White? That's Copic's answer to creating white things and highlights on your Copic projects . . . very cool stuff! It's basically like a thin paint or thick ink and I used the tip of an old ballpoint pen to dip in it and add highlights/stamens to the insides of each little flower -- hopefully you can see that by clicking on one of the photos for a larger view!
And I've stressed this before and will again -- don't be afraid to add some very dark shading to your coloring, to create awesome depth to your projects . . . they will really pop!
You can find more details on how I created this sticky note cover over at the JustRite blog today. See you tomorrow with more new Copic product announcements!
Comments are now closed . . . winners will be announced shortly!
