JustRite Friday Challenge Time Again!

Today's JustRite Friday Challenge has been posted -- it is to work with this sketch: Here's my sample I created with a sneak-peek of a brand new 3-1/4" round JustRite set, Butterfly Garden, and Spellbinders Big Scalloped Square Nestabilities: Remember those seed packet templates I used in the post below? I created another set for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memories (for scrapbook pages) and this general "Butterfly Garden" flower mix! First today is Branching Out by Melanie Muenchinger: I love this fresh idea for pretty frames in any shape you could need! I stamped the round frame with white ink onto GKD Pure Luxury Heavy Base Weight Cardstock Kraft cardstock and die cut it with Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities dies. Spring-Summer Photo Tray

Happy Hump Day, everyone! We're on the downhill side of a long holiday weekend here in the U.S. (Good Friday & Easter). Today over in the CLASSroom I'm sharing my new Spring/Summer girly photo tray. I hope you'll join me there to see all the fun things I used in it . . . I had a blast making this! COPIC UPDATES: I also wanted to let you all know that I've updated my Copic Certification Classes page. Charlotte NC, Las Vegas, Columbus OH Regular/Standard & Intermediate, San Diego, Minneapolis, and Pensacola FL are all now OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, so anyone can sign up/apply for them. Newly opened this week are Certification Classes for Coos Bay, Oregon Standard (taught by Marianne Walker) and Calgary Intermediate (Sherrie Siemens) for June 18th. Also opening this week will be Lexington KY Standard (Colleen Schaan), Wichita KS Standard (Lori Craig) and Wichita KS Intermediate (Debbie Olson) all for June 23rd. Remember, the Intermediate Certification Classes will be limited this year. JustRite Friday Challenge Time!

A new Friday Challenge has been posted over at the JustRite Inspiration blog today . . . we hope you’ll join in and play along! The challenge is to make your own flower embellishment for a papercrafted project using JustRite Stamps! Here’s my 6-inch scrapbook page of my youngest daughter I made for the challenge: Banners are a hot trend right now and I wanted to incorporate one into this page. I discovered JustRite’s Myriad Pro 50-pt Font fits perfectly inside Spellbinders new Banner Basics die sets! I stamped the letters with Memento Rich Cocoa ink to spell out SWEET onto these gorgeous BasicGrey Hello Luscious solid papers and then die cut them all at once with Banner Basics One dies in the Grand Calibur: The letter panels are popped up with foam tape onto the banner base and then the whole banner popped up on foam tape and “hung” with twine at the top of the page: These dies have so much fun dimension to them –- love those tassels! GKD Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to a fun Gina K Designs Design Team hop! Today we are showing stamping techniques of all kinds as featured on Stamp TV. We hope you enjoy hopping through the variety of techniques and are inspired to try something new! You should have come to my blog from Theresa Momber's blog. If you didn't, you can start at the beginning of the hop and find the entire list of participants at Stamp TV. I revisited a technique called Ghosting that I had only done once previously, to create this birthday tag: I didn't find a video tutorial over at Stamp TV for this technique (yet!), so here are the simple steps: 1. Stamp images with white PIGMENT ink -- I used this pretty swirl element from the current Springtime Silhouettes Stamp TV Kit. Allow to thoroughly dry, or speed up the drying process using a heat tool. I stamped onto a #8 manila shipping tag: 2. Sponge DYE ink over the stamped images -- I used Tim Holtz Distress inks. JustRite Faith

Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this wonderful new cling stamp set, Faith: This set has a lot of great elements to interact with your existing 1-5/8” round and 2” square JustRite Original ribbed centers, to give them a whole new look! I turned the beautiful long “label” stamp vertical and created an inspirational bookmark: I stamped the label with Memento Rose Bud ink onto light pink woodgrained patterned paper (BasicGrey Life of the Party) and die cut it with Spellbinders Labels Six. I used a long flourish element from the stamp set and stamped additional pink elements (west and east) on each side of the center. Pink gemstones accent the top and bottom of the flourish label. The center was stamped in Ranger Adirondack Pool dye ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock, die cut with Classic Circle Nestabilities, and popped up on foam tape. The base of the bookmark is some gorgeous new BasicGrey Hello Luscious paper, die cut with Spellbinders Labels Twenty-One die. I accented it with a leaf from Spellbinders’ new Foliage die set. Light aqua seam binding was hand-dyed a little darker and greener with Copic BG13 Various Ink Refill so it would match the paper better.... Read more →

JustRite Be Happy Every Day!

Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this new 2” square Original Ribbed stamp set, Be Happy . . . Who else now has the "Dont' Worry, Be Happy" song stuck in their head? (ha)!! I don’t have a very good selection of cards for boys in my stash of pre-made cards, so I thought it was time I remedied that! This darling Webster’s Pages Petite Yacht Club/Spring Market paper told a wonderful story all on its own, I thought, and only needed this great sentiment to make a quick card. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink, and then die cut with Spellbinders Classic Square Nestabilities die. I popped the sentiment up on foam tape, over the scalloped die cut border that I stamped with Ranger Adirondack Stonewashed dye ink. This focal sentiment was then layered onto a Labels One die cut from coordinating paper. The background paper was distressed and machine stitched to a Memory Box Holly Berry notecard. Some tied red buttons complete it, quick and easy! JustRite Vintage Floral Labels

Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this beautiful new Cling stamp set, Vintage Floral Labels: It was designed to fit Spellbinders Labels Thirteen and coordinates with JustRite’s previously released Vintage Oval Labels! The centers of these labels will accept JustRite’s 1-5/8” round centers with borders AND the 2” square centers, to give your existing stamps a whole new fabulous look! Here’s what I created with this set: This is a 4.50” square x .75” gift box that I cut with Cricut’s Wild Card cartridge . . . it holds a giant chocolate chip cookie! I accented it with the round floral label from this new set, stamped with Memento Rose Bud dye ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock. I quickly colored the label with these Copic markers: R81, R85 and the new YG61, for a soft look. Mint and Pink Atyou Spica Glitter Pens were used to give it a little sparkle! After die cutting the label with Spellbinders Labels Thirteen die, I stamped the center and border that comes with this set with Memento Rose Bud and Bamboo Leaves and die cut with Classic Circle Nestabilities dies. JustRite A Warm Hello

Hang in there, everyone – it’s Friday! Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this new 1-5/8” Original Ribbed stamp set, A Warm Hello: All of these fabulous sentiment centers can also fit into JustRite’s cling stamp set, Charmed, to give them a whole different look and tons of combination possibilities! So I combined the A Warm Hello “Hang in there” sentiment center with one of the cling heart stamps and die cut it with JustRite’s Custom Charm Dies, to make this encouragement card: I made a frame with the heart stamp, by stamping it with Adirondack Pool dye ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock, and then die cutting it with JustRite’s Custom Charm Dies. I used one of the circle dies from the Charm set to die cut an opening in the heart die cut. The frame is popped up over the “Hang in there” sentiment. The heart charm focal image was tied to the red Spellbinders Floral Doily Accent strip with twine. A Labels Four die cut of pretty My Mind’s Eye-So Sophie Savvy patterned paper is behind the sentiment charm. JustRite Dare to Dream!

Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this new 2” square Original Ribbed stamp set, Dare To Dream: I had fun making this encouragement card for the packaging of this stamp set: This set will be great for any kind of encouraging notes you need to send AND for scrapbook pages! The “Dare to Dream” sentiment was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock, die cut with Spellbinders Classic Square Nestabilities die, and the edges inked with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. It was popped up over the pretty border that was stamped with Rose Bud ink and also die cut. This focal image was layered onto Memory Box Vanilla Bean cardstock that was die cut with Spellbinders Labels Two Nestabilities die and accented with pink gemstones. The background papers were cut into a swirl shape, machine stitched together, the edges distressed, and sewn onto a Vanilla Bean (chocolate) card base. A pink button, tied with Martha Stewart’s Chocolate Baker’s Twine, finishes this card. JustRite Signs of Life

Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this new Cling stamp set, Signs of Life. It coordinates with Spellbinders Labels 3, Labels 12, Labels 15, Labels 16, and Lacey Squares dies! Any of JustRite’s mini sentiments will fit in the long, narrow frame, most 1-5/8” round JustRite Original sentiments fit in the round frames, and 2” square sentiments fit in the square frames, giving your existing JustRite Original stamps a whole new look! All the great “sign” type of possibilities with this set are a fabulous given, but I always like finding other, not so obvious, uses for stamp sets! This set is full of wonderful sentiments, too, that you’ll use for all types of everyday things. I used the smaller square frame and sentiment, “Live well, Laugh often, Love much” to make a tag to add to this floral closet sachet ball I made: I started with a 3-inch styrofoam ball and used long pink pearlized straight pins to add a bunch of Prima flowers to it: I attached a bit of hand-dyed seam binding (instructions can be found HERE) at the top of the ball, to serve as a hanger. JustRite From My Kitchen

Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this new 1-5/8” Original Ribbed stamp set, From My Kitchen. It will be perfect for yummy homemade gifts, don’t you think?!! These centers are also made to fit inside JustRite’s Charmed Cling stamp set, to give the stamps a whole different, customized look! It’s been a while since I shared any recipes and I thought this new stamp set would be perfect for one! This is my husband’s “best marinara sauce yet” that he’s found, tweaked and changed to make it his own – we all love it, even the kids! I printed it onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and then die cut it with Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles largest die – I love the retro shape and thought it went well with this Cosmo Cricket Social Club paper! The “Secret Family Recipe” (not so much a secret anymore, eh?!!) border & center was stamped once with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then again with Rubarb Stalk ink.
