Today JustRite Stampers is introducing this gorgeous new 3-1/4” Original Ribbed Butterfly Garden stamp set I teased you with last Friday (the post below this one):
Here’s a birthday card I created:
I’m always looking for new and different ways to use JustRite’s borders and centers in other ways than intended (must be the non-conformist in me, LOL!). So for the sentiment on this card, I stamped the 3-1/4” round border and then cut away the portion I wanted to use, into a banner shape, and accented it with pink gemstones –- fun and a little different, right?!!
For that gorgeous butterfly and floral center, I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and colored with these Copic markers:
The entire background behind the stamped image was colored with BG10 and the flowers highlighted with Copic Atyou Spica Glitter Pens in Chocolate, Lemon and Pink. The center image was die cut with Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape over another Natural White die cut of Eyelet Circle Nestabilities.
That pretty border die cut at the top is from my favorite Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents! The butterfly was stamped again, colored and cut out, then popped up on foam tape for a three dimensional effect:
Machine stitching around the edges of the card finishes it off.
