Welcome to Day 2 of Gina K Designs’ September stamp set release inspiration blog hops! Remember, all of the new September release stamp sets are now available in Gina’s store! I want to thank you all for all of your inspiring comments yesterday … I always love reading them all, they sure do lift my spirits! Our first stamp set being featured today is:
Celebrate the Season by Theresa Momber -- such a great all occasion set for any season and any crafting project!
Since my girls have already been asking how long it is until the biggest candy day of the year, I thought a Halloween countdown calendar was in order!
I printed my full-sized 8.50” x 11” calendar (available as a free download from my Downloads & Tutorials page) onto Gina K’s Ivory Layering Weight Cardstock. The calendar topper is made with some gorgeous new Echo Park-Apothecary 6x6 patterned papers, backed with Gina’s Black Onyx Heavy Base Weight Cardstock, die cut with Spellbinders Classic Postage Stamp Edgeabilities die (I trimmed the edges off to be squared):
I stamped the silhouette images all in black onto the patterned paper -- I like the striking look! The 1-inch pumpkin square down on the calendar is a magnet that can be moved around, to count down the days until Halloween:
(Both the calendar page and the pumpkin square have magnets on the back, so they can be used on the refrigerator). This is an Inchie Arts Black Inchie matboard square (it gives the magnet GREAT stability and dimension), topped with orange patterned paper with the pumpkin image stamped on it. After adhering the paper to the Inchie, I sanded the edges of the paper. It’s backed with Inchie Magnets.
Our next featured stamp set today is Home Is by Tami Mayberry -- what a great set for someone that is/has moved and for countless other crafting projects with a “homey” feel!
I decided to paper piece this scene in a 4” x 6” frame using paper from My Mind’s Eye 6x6 Paris & Co, to create a home decor piece (I might not normally have used a frame this ornate for a project like this, but it's the only one I had on hand!):
So much fun to make! Most pieces are popped up on foam tape. The hearts on the tree, house, and “Home Is” cloud all have Star Dust Stickles on them.
These Gina K design team members also have samples to share today. Make sure you leave a comment on each of the blogs because Gina will choose two random winners from all of the comments who will each receive a free stamp set of their choice valued at up to $24.95! The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have to win . . . good luck!

You give me so many great ideas! Now I need an empty Bandaid box, Pronto! I need to make one of those Boo Boo boxes for my grandkids. And the candy jar is SUCH a great gift idea. My daughter has been terribly depressed lately (with good reason). I'll bet a jar like that will provide a little sunshine in her day.
