Welcome to Day 3 of Gina K Designs’ September stamp set release inspiration blog hops! Remember, all of the new September release stamp sets are now available in Gina’s store! Our first stamp set being featured today is:
My True Love Gave to Me by Gina K -- Oh my goodness, I know I’ll get a LOT of use out of this set during the holidays … LOVE it!
I created quick holiday tags, in a little bit of a non-traditional color … Gina’s Ocean Mist cardstock is one of my favorite colors!
I lined up the “On the” and “Day of Christmas…” stamps on my acrylic block and left those stamps in place when stamping each tag -- that made it easy to get a uniform look to my tags. Then I just switched out the numbers each time and stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto 3” x 5” tags I made out of Gina’s Ivory Heavy Base Weight cardstock.
Each line of text at the bottoms of the tags was added separately -- this made it easy to get centered. Next, each of the bird images was stamped with Rich Cocoa ink onto the Ocean Mist cardstock and then die cut with Spellbinders Classic Oval Nestabilities dies:
The edges of the images were all inked and then popped up on Pop Dots and Star Dust Stickles accents the partridge, heart, hen tails & combs, and bird wings:
Today I am hosting the Free For All Friday Challenge over at StampTV and these tags are some of my samples for the challenge: To use non-traditional Christmas colors (something besides the traditional red & green) for your holiday cards or tags! I hope you’ll join me -- you have the opportunity to win one Gina K stamp set ($24.99 or less) of your choice … not a bad thing, after all the pretty new stamp sets we’ve shown you this week!
Our next featured set today is this month’s new “Free with 3” set, Cool Beans (purchase any three stamp sets and receive this one free!) -- what a great coffee-themed set!
I made this thank-you gift bag:
I kept everything natural and organic looking, by using a kraft coffee bag which was stamped with the coffee beans. The latte image and “Thanks a latte” sentiment were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto an Inchie Arts Ivory Twinchie (2-inch) Square and then colored with Copic markers E41, E42, E50, C1 and W1.
The edges of the Twinchie square were inked with Creamy Brown ink. The coffee branches/plant was stamped twice onto a piece of Natural Sticky Back Canvas, accented with Copic E42, and buttons sewn in place. The canvas piece was then adhered to a Chocolate piece of cardstock and corrugated cardboard. Chocolate stitched ribbon and a button complete the top of this gift bag.
These Gina K design team members also have samples to share today. Make sure you leave a comment on each of the blogs because Gina will choose two random winners from all of the comments who will each receive a free stamp set of their choice valued at up to $24.95! The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have to win . . . good luck!
