EDITED: My deepest apologies, this is the first time in over 4-1/2 years this has happened … somehow in preparing my blog post for Thursday’s Gina K hop on Wednesday evening, I accidentally deleted this original post. I’m in the process of reconstructing it, so please bear with the sketchy details for now -- they’ll all be back shortly. Unfortunately, that also means all of your very kind comments were also deleted -- I’m so very sorry! If you still would like to be entered into Gina’s drawing for the free stamp sets, you’ll need to leave another comment. :( Again, my apologies . . .
Welcome to Day 1 of Gina K Designs’ September stamp set release inspiration blog hops! We hope you enjoyed the Release Party last night -- Remember, all of the new September release stamp sets are now available in Gina’s store!
Our first stamp set being featured today is: Holiday Basket by Melanie Muenchinger -- I love that this set coordinates with Melanie’s A Year of Flowers set and three other “basket” sets!
I made this Fall candy jar lid topper, using a canning jar:
I used Gina K's Soft Sand Heavy Base Weight Cardstock to color the stamped sunflowers with these Copic markers:
Lid view:
Our next set featured today is Under The Weather by Rupa Shevde:
I intended this to be a Boo-Boo Bear gift box for someone that isn't feeling well, but my 9-year old suggested it should be for her or her sister when they are sick in bed! I think that's a great idea, maybe filled with a deck of cards or some other trinkets to keep them busy when they are sick:
It's made by covering a recycled Band-Aid box with navy cardstock (I knew that box would come in handy one day!). I colored the sweet bear with these Copic markers:
I LOVE this ivory Copic color combo for soft, velvety bears: E41-Pearl White, E42-Sand White and E43-Dull Ivory, along with my favorite red combo! The sentiment on top was stamped, die cut and accented with red buttons:
These Gina K design team members also have samples to share today. Make sure you leave a comment on each of the blogs because Gina will choose two random winners from all of the comments who will each receive a free stamp set of their choice valued at up to $24.95! The more blogs you comment on, the more chances you have to win . . . good luck!
