Happy New Year 2012!

I hope you all are having a wonderful last day of the year! To celebrate New Year's Eve tonight, I made this Happy New Year card: The hat was cut using Cricut's Birthday Bash cartridge (6 inches), Basic Grey's Little Black Dress 6x6 papers, and JustRite Stampers' pretty "Happy New Year" sentiment fit perfectly at the bottom! If I could have my own custom designed New Year's hat, this would be it, LOL! A little bit of leopard and silver tinsel, and a lot of bling makes a girl happy! I hope each of you enjoy the evening and I look forward to your visits back here in 2012! Gina K Designs December Release Inspiration Hop 1!

Welcome to the first of Gina K Designs’ December stamp set release inspiration blog hops! We hope you enjoyed the Release Party last night -- Remember, all of the new December release stamp sets are now available in Gina’s store! Our first stamp set being featured today is Stately Flowers 2 by Melanie Muenchinger -- another fabulous floral addition to her series! I embellished a scrap page of my youngest daughter with the Camellia from this set: (Photo credit: Susan Karlsson from Five Days Later Studio) Flower was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Copic’s X-Press It Blending Card and colored with these Copic markers and Lemon Atyou Spica Glitter Pen (on flower center): I used a combination of pink/peach Gina K Designs Heavy Base Weight Cardstock to accent the Camellia and daughter’s shirt -- Bubblegum Pink, Innocent Pink & Just Peachy. The circle strip on the left was created with Spellbinders Edgeabilities dies (see supplies below). Gina K Designs November Release Inspiration Hop 3!

Welcome to Day 3 of Gina K Designs’ November stamp set release inspiration blog hops! Remember, all of the new November release stamp sets are now available in Gina’s store! Our first stamp set being featured today is: Inspirational Blocks, the November Free With the purchase of 3 set: Here are my samples -- Christmas tags for Tina's Release Night Challenge. I stamped each of the images from this set with Tim Holtz's Limited Edition Winter 2011 Seasonal Distress Ink Pads onto Inchie Arts Ivory Twinchie Squares. Each square was layered with Pop Dots onto Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Square die cuts. It's a little hard to see in the photo, but the bottom of each tag has a strip of 1/4" Scor-Tape covered in multi-crystal glitter, for some pretty holiday sparkle! Gina K Designs November Release Inspiration Hop 2!

Welcome to Day 2 of Gina K Designs’ November stamp set release inspiration blog hops! Remember, all of the new November release stamp sets are now available in Gina’s store! Our first stamp set being featured today is: Dogwood and Butterfly by Theresa Momber -- isn’t it gorgeously elegant?!! My notecard sample: I masked off an area the size of the center of this pretty embossing folder, stamped onto Gina's Heavy Base Weight Ivory Cardstock, and then embossed. I used these Copic colors on this gorgeous dogwood image (treating the parts of the oval frame as a tree branch, colored with E30 and E31 not shown here): Using the lightest RV00 marker to pick up color from the tip of the darker RV63 marker (tip-to-tip technique), and coloring from the tips of the flowers inward, helps to fade the color to white towards the center. Antique Linen Distress Ink was lightly sponged on the raised embossing. The panel was mounted to a card base of Gina's Bubblegum Pink cardstock.
