Today’s featured June stamp sets are:
Tropical Nature by Theresa Momber:
I always adore any kind of tropical, island, beachy, summery, flowery stamp set and this one has it all! I decided to make a keepsake photo frame, accented with the beautiful plumeria (frangipani) flowers from this set:
The 4.50” 3D frame is a Silhouette Studio cut file, made from one sheet of 12” paper. It holds a 2.25” photo of my girls having fun in the sun this past holiday week! I stamped the flowers with Memento Desert Sand ink onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored with these Copic markers:
Copic Tip: Stamping with the lighter color of ink gives a more realistic look to the flowers, especially since they are such a light, pastel color fading to white in some areas. To color the flowers, I used Y11 flicked from the center outward, then used RV000 flicked from the outer edges of the flowers inward, leaving the outermost turned up petal edges white.
The sentiment was selectively inked with Memento Bahama Blue marker, die cut with Spellbinders Tags Trio die, and while the cardstock was still in the die, airbrushed with Copic B21 marker:
Our next featured set today is I Do! by Becky Oehlers:
I varied a little from the basic wedding theme of this set and made a sweet love card for one of my daughters:
The hexagon border and heart were inked with Memento markers and stamped onto Gina’s White Heavy Weight Cardstock. The “4ever” was added with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. It got a little washed out in the photo, but the "U" is a white sparkly foam sticker. The black line was drawn with Copic’s 0.3 Black Multiliner. The cardfront was popped up on a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangle card base.
Remember, you now have a choice in your GinaK stamp selections … either the original deeply-etched red rubber cling OR NEW premium quality photopolymer clear stamps! This was my first use of Gina’s new clear stamps and I have to say that I was blown away by the fabulous quality – they are so nice and thick and sturdy! And they stamp perfectly -- brand new, right off the storage sheet, without any prep!

Both of these are precious! Frangipani are the most delicious smelling flowers I have ever experienced. I have found that the most fragant type are the white and yellow. I just wonder how one would color those?
