JustRite Papercraft 2012 Holiday Release

Today JustRite Papercraft is fast forwarding to the holidays because well, you know they will be here before you know it! Today we are introducing Amy Tedder’s new Christmas/holiday stamps, JustRite Cling-Merry Christmas Background Stamp: And JustRite Clear-Antique Christmas Tags One: I put these two sets together and created this 5” x 7” framed art piece: The Christmas background stamp was made to coordinate with Spellbinders Card Creator dies; I used the A2 Fancy Postage Stamps – they make layering super easy! By trimming the background stamp to its exact size of 4.50” x 5.75” and then just adding another layer of the postage stamp die cut to the sides, the piece fit perfectly into the 5” x 7” frame (dollar store find that I painted black). The pretty label was stamped with black ink onto cream cardstock and then colored with Copic R37 marker, then die cut with those same new JustRite Custom Dies-Antique Tags One dies I showed you yesterday (in the post below this one). JustRite Fall 2012 Release

Today JustRite is plunging into Autumn, with its 2012 release of fall stamps … one of my very favorite times of the year! Introducing Antique Autumn Tags One: And Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves: I rotate a few scrapbook pages on a wrought iron stand on my foyer table throughout the year and decided I needed a new one for the upcoming season. I dug out one of my favorite photos of youngest daughter when she was about 14 months old, running around a local farmer’s market investigating all the pretty pumpkins and goards, for this 7.50” page: I created the background paper using the Polished Stone technique and Copic Various Ink Refills in E25, R39 and YR24. To do this, just place a few drops of each color onto an Alcohol Ink Applicator and Felt Pad, then pounce all over a piece of Glossy White cardstock: Next, I added Metallic Gold Mixative to a clean felt pad, along with a little Colorless Blender to thin it out a bit, and pounced that around: You can go back and add some more color over the top of the gold mixative to tone it down and deepen the color a bit. JustRite August Samantha Walker Release

Today JustRite Papercraft continues their August release previews with Day 2 of Samantha Walker’s new stamps! I used one of Samantha’s three new stamp sets, Botanical Swirls Labels: Which coordinate with her new Spellbinders Samantha Walker Botanical Swirls & Accents dies: To create my 5.50” square thank-you card: Don’t these stamps and dies work beautifully together?!! And the stamp set is full of all kinds of everyday sentiments you’ll use year round for any occasion! To create the label die, I die cut coordinating pale aqua solid patterned paper (from Authentique’s Gathering 6x6 pad) and while the paper was still in the die, I airbrushed it with Copic Sketch Markers YR04 and E39: Never fear, your die will clean right up with an alcohol prep pad (or Copic Colorless Blender Solution!): Next, I stamped the center of the label die cut with a pretty frame stamp from this set, using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Then I used the YR04 Copic marker to color the outside embossed edge of the die cut, for a quick and easy extra layer look: The light aqua seam binding was darkened a little and dyed with Copic BG53 Various Ink Refill and the Bow Easy...
