JustRite August Samantha Walker Release

Today JustRite Papercraft continues their August release previews with Day 2 of Samantha Walker’s new stamps!  I used one of Samantha’s three new stamp sets, Botanical Swirls Labels:

To create my 5.50” square thank-you card:

Don’t these stamps and dies work beautifully together?!!  And the stamp set is full of all kinds of everyday sentiments you’ll use year round for any occasion! 

To create the label die, I die cut coordinating pale aqua solid patterned paper (from Authentique’s Gathering 6x6 pad) and while the paper was still in the die, I airbrushed it with Copic Sketch Markers YR04 and E39:

Never fear, your die will clean right up with an alcohol prep pad (or Copic Colorless Blender Solution!):

Next, I stamped the center of the label die cut with a pretty frame stamp from this set, using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Then I used the YR04 Copic marker to color the outside embossed edge of the die cut, for a quick and easy extra layer look:

The light aqua seam binding was darkened a little and dyed with Copic BG53 Various Ink Refill and the Bow Easy was used to tie the bow.  All the layers are popped up with Copic High Tack Double-Sided Foam Tape, for lots of dimension and then a final spritz of Gold Glimmer Mist finishes everything.
