JustRite December 2012 Release-Day 4

Welcome to the last day of JustRite's December release inspiration blog hops! Today I have a tag to share with you: It uses this pretty new JustRite Cling Vintage Pearl Labels, which coordinates with JustRite's Custom Vintage Label & Banner Dies: And another gorgeous new background stamp, Victorian Tile. I stamped the background with Distress Embossing Ink onto gray cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I started coloring the embossed circles with Copic R21 and RV25 for a fun, different look: Yes, can do this! I like to use the less-used chisel end of my markers for this type of project, just in case some of the embossing powder might clog the nib. But generally, if you color quickly and don't linger, then wipe the tip off by scribbling on scratch paper, you shouldn't have a problem. But if you do, remember your Copic nibs/tips are replaceable! I chose my colors by matching the R21 marker with the Gina K Innocent Pink cardstock I used to mat the colored background. JustRite December 2012 Release-Day 2

Today's December release JustRite stamps being featured are this fabulous Elegant Damask cling background: And this Hugs & Kisses Sentiments clear set: This sentiment set will get you through all the upcoming winter holidays, straight through to Mother's Day and beyond! And there are plenty of general all-purpose occasion sentiments as well. I stamped the background with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and then colored it with these Copic markers: The Mother's Day sentiment was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and while the cardstock was still in the die, I airbrushed it with the BG45 Copic marker. The pretty decorative circle heart border was stamped with Memento Rose Bud ink, circle die cut, and then backed with a black die cut Spellbinders Picot Circles: Each of the sentiment circle layers were popped up on Copic Foam Tape. The Mother's Day sentiment circle and rose in the bow have Star Dust Stickles on them -- you can probably see it better by clicking on the photo for a larger view. JustRite December 2012 Release

Good morning! Today marks the start of JustRite's December release inspiration blog hops. We're starting the week off with some sweet Valentines and I made this cute little 4.50" shaped card for you: It was made with part of this pretty new Cling Cupid Background stamp: I inked the stamp with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and stamped it onto Neenah Natural White cardstock, then colored it with Copic R22 (stripes) and R83 (flowers): I die cut the background with Spellbinders (retired) largest Nested Heart die -- I love the little "stem" at the top! Then I cut apart a white heart paper doily and adhered it to the back of the die cut heart. Next, I just lightly traced around the doily shape onto doubled red cardstock and cut around the shape, leaving the folded top uncut. The sentiments are from another new JustRite Clear stamp set, Antique Valentine Tags One (you'll see more with this new set on Thursday's inspiration hop). I stamped the sentiments with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and then die cut them with JustRite's Custom Dies - Vintage Label & Banner Dies (banner) and Antique Tags One Dies (Be Mine). Color Cubbies Are Back!

I always get asked about how I store my Copic markers and if you've visited my Copic FAQ page or have seen my studio tour, you'll see the same photo as above. I LOVE those cubbies! Each cubbie compartment bottom is slanted toward the back of the cubbie (so your markers don't slip forward or fall out!) and can hold 12 Various Ink Refills or about 30 Sketch markers. Each cubbie tower has five compartments. The site shut down for a while, but good news for me and anyone still looking for the perfect marker storage solution -- They are BACK and are still made in the USA! You can order again. Amazing Paper Grace Kit Club 4-December

Becca Feeken's Amazing Paper Grace Kit Club being released next month is another amazing kit! These are the stamps and dies you'll receive: What Defines Us clear stamp set and Set of 3 Filigree Bracket and Label Dies: You can see all the projects Becca created for this kit and all the materials you'll receive in the kit here or over at the JustRite blog. Here's the project I created -- a bookmark or tag: To create the bookmark, I placed the largest die from the kit onto heavy base weight ivory cardstock so I could see where to position and stamp all the elements, with Memento Rich Cocoa & Rose Bud inks. Then I colored the roses using these Copic markers: Then die cut the bookmark and while the cardstock was still in the die, I used YR31 to airbrush the background. The smallest die in this set made a perfect "hanger" for the ribbons! Genuine Friend

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today I'm sharing a 4.50" topper card made with JustRite's new Genuine Friend Background stamp being released this month: There are SO many different looks you can get with this one stamp! I chose to stamp it twice, with Memento Rich Cocoa and Paris Dusk inks, onto Sandy Beach cardstock. Then I just cut and pieced together different elements from the two, popping them up on Copic foam tape: I machine zig-zag stitched the background to an In The Navy card base and finished it with some natural ribbon and a brown tied button. I think this background will make some great masculine cards! Postcard Birthday Wishes

Hello, friends! Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made with JustRite Papercraft's beautiful new November stamp release Wings of Love cling background: Isn't that a gorgeous stamp? It was tons of fun to color, too! Here are the Copic markers I used to color it, after stamping it with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock: I also used JustRite's Grand Sentiments to custom create the greeting on the postcard. I also cut out the postcard and popped it up on foam tape, to give it dimension: The pretty butterfly is also from the Grand Sentiments stamp set. It was stamped with Memento Rubarb Stalk and colored with Copic R20 and outlined with Copic Chocolate Atyou Spica Glitter Pen. Spellbinders' Wonderful Wings dies cut it out perfectly! The background was machine zig-zag stitched to a card base of Gina K's Turquoise Sea cardstock. Sending A Flurry Of Love

Hello, everyone -- I hope your Sunday is going well! I had a little coloring fun on this cool afternoon that I wanted to share. It's not quite snow flurry weather here in Texas yet, but just enough of a cool front to put me in a chilly mood! This sweet image is My Favorite Things Flurry of Love -- isn't she adorable, all bundled up for the snow?!! I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and then colored her with these Copic markers: The snow flurries and white trim on the girl's hat, jacket and boots are all accented with Star Dust Stickles. For a little more precision control over the glitter on the snowflake centers, I used a Zig glue pen and Stickles' new Dry Fine Star Dust Glitter ... awesome stuff!
