Our first featured set today is The Northwoods, by Theresa Momber:
I couldn’t help but go a little masculine and get good and inky with this set! I made this #8 tag:
The background was very easy to do – First, I stamped the images with Versamark and clear embossed them. Then I just wiped a few Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads (Tea Dye, Faded Jeans and Peeled Paint) onto my non-stick craft sheet close together, spritzed the ink with water and dipped my #8 manila tag into the inks. Just keep dipping the tag until you achieve the desired look you want:
Once the tag dries, buff any ink off the embossed images. Next, I sponged Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink on the edges of the tag and mounted it to a layer of Gina’s Warm Coco Heavy Base Weight Cardstock. I finished it with a bow of ivory and Gina’s Color Companions Powder Blue Double-Stitched Ribbon & Singing the Blues Button and twine.
Our next featured set today is Poster Board Sentiments by Becky Oehlers:
I think these great fonts and sentiments will lend themselves greatly to the popular chalkboard technique (which I can’t wait to try next!) but I went a little softer with my first card, in hues of pink and charcoal:
I stamped the sentiment twice – once with Gina’s Innocent Pink Color Companion Ink Pad and again with Memento Gray Flannel, onto White Heavy Base Weight Cardstock:
I cut apart the pink sentiment and adhered it to the gray one, then matted it with Innocent Pink Heavy Base Weight Cardstock. The striped banner stamp from this set was also stamped with Gina’s Innocent Pink ink on white cardstock and then matted with a layer of Gina’s Smoky Slate cardstock (retired but still available in the Casual Friday Assortment).
I die cut the flower from Innocent Pink cardstock, using Spellbinders Blossoms Three die set. It was layered together with Copic Foam Tape and topped with a tied Color Companions Tickled Pink button and twine. The card base is also Smoky Slate.

The tag sounds like so much fun to make and it turned out beautiful! I can't imagine trying to cut the poster sentiment apart - there's scarcely room for a blade between the lettering and the dividing dingbat. Kudos to you - -
