Hello, friends -- goodness, it's been a long time since I stamped! But I'm back today with my March calendar . . . it uses a brand new stamp set from JustRite Papercraft called Winged Vintage Labels Two & Three. Here's a look at the whole set:
It coordinates with JustRite's Custom Dies, Vintage Labels Two and Vintage Labels Three:
And Spellbinders Wonderful Wings die set:
Here's my 6-inch March calendar I created with all of the above!
I'm SO ready for Spring and this set was begging for some pretty bright colors! I stamped the pretty swirly Labels Three frame (the middle size of frames in this set) with Memento Rose Bud ink onto Neenah Natural White cardstock and die cut it with the matching JustRite Custom Die. I love that the center of this stamp is the different shape of JustRite's Labels Two die, so I used that coordinating die to cut the sentiment in the center and popped it up on Copic Foam Tape:
I inked the sentiment with Tangelo Memento ink and then colored just the "Love" and "Pleases" with a Rose Bud Memento marker, for a quick and easy duo-colored sentiment. Underneath the sentiment, I colored the center of the frame with Copic YR04 marker to coordinate with the orange in the sentiment.
Finally, for the butterfly, I discovered something quite by mistake that I thought I'd pass along to you. When I started to stamp the butterfly, I accidentally put the stamp onto my acrylic block upside down and just caught my mistake right before I inked up the stamp. But then I thought, why not? It should work just like a shadow or solid stamp, so I tried it out. And guess what? It worked just fine! So I stamped the wrong/solid back side of the butterly with Memento Cantaloupe ink:
Then I inked up the correct/swirly side of the stamp with Tangelo and Rose Bud inks. (I know the photo above shows a darker orange Morocco ink, but I ended up stamping it again, using the Tangelo & Rose Bud combo!). Next, I die cut the butterfly with its coordinating Wonder Wings die and added some Star Dust Stickles to make her sparkly!
The upper left corner accent piece on my calendar is the beautiful new Spelbinders Butterfly Corner die set by Samanta Walker. The butterfly and label sentiment were both popped up on Copic Foam Tape, to add lots of dimension:
Be sure to visit these JustRite designers' blogs today -- they all have projects with this set to share, too!
