Today’s featured stamp sets are Beyond Baskets 2 and Christmas Joy. With both of these great holiday sets, I decided this year’s installment of Advent tags were in order! I decided to keep the tags monochromatic -- I love the look of red and ivory for the holidays! Generic details about all the tags are listed at the bottom of this post.
With Melanie's Beyond Baskets 2, I created tags 18 and 19 (click on any photo for a larger view):
18 - I altered the box bottom just a little, by giving it a corner (just drew the vertical line with a Copic Red Atyou Spica Glitter pen) and trimmed off a little of the box lid on the right side so it would fit on the tag a little better. The sweet little tag in this set was popped up on foam tape and tied with red baker's twine -- I love all the little sentiments that fit in it!
19 - I used Melanie's coordinating Basket Additions set to fill the "Santa" sack! I just stamped each image (the topper and the sack) separately, cut them out and pieced them together. The "celebrate" sentiment fit perfectly along the bottom of the generic layout I chose for these tags (I love it when a plan comes together!)
And with Rupa's Christmas Joy set, I used just about every stamp in this fabulous set to create these six tags:
All such great images, with beautiful coordinating sentiments!
Details for all tags: Tami Mayberry's Simple Numbers stamp set was used for the numbers and the stitched line at the bottom of each Ivory Heavy Base Weight Pure Luxury Cardstock tag, stamped with Cherry Red Color Companions Ink. The tags are hand cut 5.50" tall x a little over 2.75" wide, yielding six tags per 8.50" x 11" piece of cardstock. The bottoms were trimmed with scalloped scissors and hole reinforcers were made from Cherry Red Pure Luxury Cardstock using 1/4 and 1/2-inch cirlce punches. Snowflakes were punched from Ivory Layering Weight Pure Luxury Cardstock and the centers accented with Mini Glue Dots and glitter. Each tag is finished with Red Hot Double Stitched Color Companions Ribbon.
I guess this means I have to finish the other 17 tags now, right? :) Look for those in the coming weeks . . . thank goodness it's not even Halloween yet!
