MFT June Creative Challenge-Hybrid Inks

Time again for My Favorite Things' Design Team Creative Challenge! With the introduction of MFT's new Hybrid Inks over the past couple of months, a whole new world of stamping techniques have opened up. This month, the design team is challenged to present to you ink techniques featuring the rainbow of colors MFT's Hybrid line offers. Here are a few details about the inks: These pigment-based inks dry like dye inks and are permanent on paper surfaces. They are acid-free, archival, and fade resistant. Inks can be heat set on glass, fabric, wood, plastic, metal, and clay. As these inks are fast drying and waterproof, they cannot be embossed with embossing powder. As with any permanent ink, this product contains a small amount of solvent. These inks feature a 3 3/8" x 2 1/8" raised felt pad. Color-matched to MFT's fabulous array of Heavyweight Cardstock, and coordinates with our complete line of Replenishments ribbon, buttons, and felt. Hybrid Ink Refills are available, sold separately. MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 181

Hello and happy Monday! I've been doing a little blog tweaking and changed my design (yet again!). I tend to get bored and change things around quite frequently, so please let me know if you see anything that may still be a little wonky. We were in need of a quick birthday card for one of my girls' friends today and decided to play along in the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. <-- You can click that link or the graphic above to find all the details about the sketch and prize you could possibly win, just by entering! You have until tomorrow, Tuesday, at noon EST to enter. The Natural panel was die cut with the stitched circle from Blueprints 12 and the Birthday Sentiment white embossed. The "Girl" word was stamped with Blu Raspberry Hybrid ink. This panel was popped up with Copic X-Press It Foam Tape over a Primitive White card base, stamped with MFT's Pinstripe Background in Blu Raspberry Hybrid ink. The Fancy Butterflies were die cut from Berrylicious cardstock and MFT's new Translucent Vellum. MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 180

Happy Monday! While I was cleaning up my desk after the MFT June Release Countdown projects I made over the past week, I decided to play along in the current Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. <-- You can click that link or the graphic below to find all the details about the sketch and prize you could possibly win, just by entering! The sketch was a great way to get started with this card and then I just picked up un-used pieces from my desk that matched the sketch and in no time, I had a new card made! I already had the Birthday Sentiments stamped on a piece of Primitive White cardstock (can you tell this has become my favorite MFT white cardstock to use lately?!!) that I decided not to use on this Product Launch card, so that was my starting point. I added the beautiful Damask Design in Razzle Berry Hybrid ink, for a fun, funky kick. The Razzle Berry and Sour Apple cardstock Pierced Fishtail Flags were perfect for the sketch and finished off my focal panel (which I also cut with the Pierced Fishtail Flags along the top and bottom), along with an Orange Fizz cardstock... Welcome to the My Favorite Things June Release Rewind - Day 2! MFT June 2014 Release Countdown-Day 1 & Gift Card Tutorial!

The June My Favorite Things Release is just one day away … Tomorrow night all the new June products will go live in the MFT Boutique! My sample today uses the fun new At The Office stamp set and Blueprints 16 to create a gift card holder! When I first saw this fun stamp set, the highlight circle reminded me of the ring a coffee cup would make on furniture … so coffee is the direction my thoughts went. I must not have had my daily allowance yet that morning, LOL! So then I set out to make a coffee cup. Luckily, my Fishbowl Die-namics set was still sitting out on my desk from last month’s release and it turned out to be just the right size and shape! This is the inner bowl or water portion, die cut from Primitive White cardstock. I made a photo card to send to Grandma: So easy, quick, and cute! If only the photo printing and battling my computer had been as quick as the rest of the card, LOL! The photo opening is 3” x 3”, so it’s perfect for Instagram or any square format photo – just resize it to 3x3 (or trim) and print! (Note: My photo was a closeup and really not sized very well to fit in the frame -- that's why you are seeing more white space below the "smile" word. There are so many great possibilities with Blueprints 16 and today I made flap/tuck card with it: I went out of my comfort zone and challenged myself to use a color a rarely do – purple! My sample uses three of the four new products being featured today, Together Forever (a fantastic sentiment set from Lisa Johnson), the gorgeous Romantic Script Background, and Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX (swoon!). Here’s the card I created: This beautiful new sentiment set is love and anniversary themed, but I thought this particular sentiment could also be used for any kind of special day! I stamped it in Blu Raspberry Hybrid ink onto Smooth White cardstock and then die cut it with a Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX.
