MFT WSC187: Thank U

We needed a few thank you cards for my youngest's birthday gifts and this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #187 from My Favorite Things came to the rescue! I looked through my stash to find an image befitting a 12-year old girl and came up with this sweet Pure Innocence Sending Big Hugs: I used MFT's Jumbo Fishtail Banner Die-namics to cut a piece of my Copic Watercolor Background and gave it the stitch detail at the top by using the stitch die from Blueprints 13 Die-namics. The Sno Cone panel was cut using the large panel from Blueprints 13. The Blu Raspberry Thank You die cut was adhered to a Sour Apple Dimensional Banner. To give the die cut words a little more interest and help them coordinate with the background banner, I colored the lower half of the words with the same Copic B23 color I used on the watercolored background: FYI: The "thank you" Die-namics does have the "yo" included for "you" -- I just cut those letters off so the word would fit on the banner. MFT July Creative Challenge-Pattern Perfection: Stripes

Classic patterns never go out of style and thanks to the plethora of designs My Favorite Things offers, your projects will never feel dated. Join the MFT designers as we inspire you this month with trendy and innovative projects centered on the pinnacle of patterns: the time-honored stripe! I created a striped patterned paper and a few other striped accents for this 8-inch scrap page: To create the striped paper, I mixed MFT's All Lined Up Stencil with one of my favorite and current trendy techniques, watercolor! More details on that are shown below. To soften the Banana Split Sun Ray Cover-up die cut a little, I covered it in another die cut from Translucent Vellum. The "sister" title was cut with By the Letters Lowercase Die-namics, from Cork Sheet (which is actually lighter than it's appearing here in my photos): (Above) -- the "SEA" word was cut with the Bottom Line Alpha, from custom blue watercolored paper (details below), then stacked on three more layers of Grout Gray cardstock die cuts = your own custom "chipboard" letters! Deconstructed Birthday

She was stamped with Chocolate Brown Hybrid ink onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card (die cut with her coordinating Die-namics) and colored with these Copic Sketch markers: E00, E21, R20 (skin); Y21, Y26, E23 (hair); R81, R83, R85 (dress & cupcake liner); Y21, Y26 (frosting & balloons); E21, E23 (cupcake & shoes) W2 (ruffle shading) The Pink Lemonade panel was stamped with MFT's awesome new Confetti Background stamp in Pink Lemonade Premium Dye ink. Welcome to the My Favorite Things July Release Rewind - Day 2! Hi, everyone -- I hope you enjoyed the past week of My Favorite Things' July Release Countdown! MFT July Release Countdown-Day 1

Welcome to the 7th day of My Favorite Things July Release Countdown – just 1 day left until the new products are available at 10pm EST tomorrow night, July 8! My project uses today's featured Happy Die-namics (LOVE this font!), Happy Everything stamp set and the new Free with $60 Tag Talk Die-namics: We have a big 12th birthday coming up at the end of this month in our house (my youngest daughter!), and I thought these stamps and Die-namics would be perfect for her card. I used her three favorite colors to die cut the Happy sentiments (Razzle Berry, Blu Raspberry & Grape Jelly), Big Numbers and candle (from the new Bring on the Cake Die-namics). All the die cuts were glued to a Smooth White panel measuring 4" x 5.50". Welcome to the 5th day of My Favorite Things July Release Countdown – just 2 days left until the new products are available on July 8! My project today is one I've been meaning to create for a few months now. Since I've started doing a lot more die cutting, my cardstock scrap pile has gotten out of control! To help get the pile under control, I started trying to keep the scraps separated in this photo storage box. But there weren't enough dividers that came with the box, so I was just tossing the scraps anywhere ... ugh! I finally took the time to get things under control, with the help of this month's new File Folder Edges Die-namics: YAY! MFT July 2014 Release Countdown-Day 7

Hello and welcome to an exciting week of the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown! You are in for a HUGE bunch of birthday bash F-U-N this month from MFT! :) My project today uses both stamp sets (Birthday Chalkboard Greetings and Celebrate You) and the new Blueprints 17 Die-namics being featured today! I'm in love with this new Blueprints -- isn't it fun?!! A chalkboard easel for all of your chalkboard sentiments and "drawings"! I die cut Steel Grey cardstock for my "chalkboard" and used Grout Gray for the easel.
