Hello and welcome to My Favorite Things September Release Rewind! The design team hopes to inspire you with more ideas for those new September products you've purchased and are patiently waiting on to be delivered, or to help you finish up your shopping if you are still on the fence about anything! (I'm having a few computer problems at the moment, so all products used are linked at this bottom of the post).
Since Fall is one of my favorite times of year, I couldn't get enough of the gorgeous new Falling Leaves Die-namics, Thankful Thoughts stamp set and coordinating Words of Gratitude Die-namics, and Burlap Background, so I created this 5.50" square Grateful mini album:
This album cover idea came about when I was die cutting a bunch of the Falling Leaves from different colors of cardstock for another project. I had left the dies intact when I received them (didn't break them apart) and liked how the formation and spacing looked and wanted to use the leftover negative space from this piece of Chocolate Brown cardstock. So I stamped it with the Burlap Background in Whip Cream Pigment Ink.
Next, I inlaid all but one of the leaves with different colors of die cut leaves in these colors: Brick Red, Jellybean Green, Orange Fizz, Paver Red, Tangy Orange, Wild Cherry, which I cut down the centers with the long stitcing die from Blueprints 13. A bundle of two leaves were popped up on foam tape at the top of the album, tied with Hemp Cord:
The chocolate leaf piece was attached to the album cover I made out of corrugated cardboard, painted white. The "grateful" Words of Gratitude was die cut from gold metallic cardstock and a Paver Red Stitched Circle placed underneath it. The 2014 was die cut and pieced together with the Border It-Numbers Die-namics cut from Orange Fizz cardstock.
Inside, I placed one piece of Primitive Cream cardstock cut lengthwise at 5.25", then folded in half and stamped with the Writing Tablet Background in Natural Hybrid Ink. The pages are held in place by tying Hemp Cord around them and the album cover.
The "thankful" Words of Gratitude was cut from Wild Cherry cardstock. The "for" letters were cut apart from words in the Words of Gratitude Die-namics set and pieced together! There is space on this page for some family members to write what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving:
The next two pages are dedicated to my daughters and things we are thankful for in them. Each page stamped with words and phrases from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set. Some words were created by just selectively inking individual letters from the words (like "small" below). They were stamped in Black Licorice and Wild Cherry Hybrid Ink and gold pigment ink. Some words were handwritten with Lipstick Red Copic Atyou Spica Glitter Pen.
The oldest's page . . . with her "big heart in a small package" (since she is tiny and very proud of it!):
The photos were printed at 3.50" x 5". The youngest's page, with her "nutty" personality and wonderful sense of humor:
The final page has more room for other family members to write what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving:

I also have a video tutorial of the coloring I did for this Cute Critters squirrel project I showed you yesterday . . . Enjoy!

Mary, thanks so much for your feedback -- I was afraid people wouldn't want to watch it because of the length and I couldn't figure out how to speed it up! Thanks so much for your sweet compliments!
