Welcome back to the 5th day of My Favorite Things September Release Countdown -- just ONE more day until the new products are available in the MFT Boutique tomorrow night -- Tues, Sept 16 at 9pm Central!
Today's new September featured products are some gorgeous new Falling Leaves Die-namics, along with a wonderful Thankful Thoughts stamp set and coordinating Words of Gratitude Die-namics. I combined them all on this 8-1/2" x 11" photo mat frame / decor piece:
I started with a white photo mat, sized 8-1/2" x 11" with a 4" x 6" opening and stamped it with the new Burlap Background in Natural Hybrid Ink ... I love all the texture this background creates!
Note: When creating decor projects, or anything to do with photos, I prefer using Hybrid Ink, so I'm assured the ink won't run if it accidentally gets wet.
Below is the last portion of the frame about to be stamped:
The edges of the frame were sponged with Chocolate Brown Hybrid Ink. Above, you can see the fantastic embossed details of the Falling Leaves, especially on the tan metallic cardstock I used. Here's another close-up (click any photo for a larger view):
The leaves were die cut from coordinating colors found in the photo of my sweet girls: Wild Cherry, Steel Grey, Chocolate Brown and tan metallic and a few were popped up on foam tape.
The "so very" and "for you" from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set were stamped in Steel Grey Hybrid Ink around the Words of Gratitude "thankful" die cut from antique gold metallic cardstock. Until I can decide if I want to put this photo mat into a frame for the wall, it can be displayed on an easel because of the sturdiness of the matboard.
The new September products will be available at 10pm EST on Sept 16! Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to find a list of all the participating designers in today's hop, to see today’s full product reveals AND enter for your chance to win a $75 gift voucher on each of the 7 countdown day blog posts!
I'll see you back here tomorrow night for Day 1 of the countdown release!
Other Supplies: cappuccino & antique gold metallic cardstocks, 8x10 photo mat w/4x6 opening; Copic X-Press It Foam Tape & Glue Marker; mini ink blending tool
Love the frame and the picture speaks volumes of love.

I think that this project is definitely a keeper. You've picked up the colors of the photo and used them for the framing. That Burlap Background sure does make a regular project get turned up to a wow project. Super job.
