Tonight I have a sweet golden monochromatic card to share with you, which uses the current MFT Weekly Stamp Club Sketch #200: Isn't that sweet deer adorable?!! He's from the new MFT Birdie Brown Jingle All The Way stamp set. I stamped him onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card, die cut him with Tag Builder Blueprints 2 and then colored him with these Copic Sketch Markers: E41, E42, E43, E44, and C1 for his ground shadow.... MFT DT October Creative Challenge: Cork

Time again for the My Favorite Things Design Team monthly Creative Challenge! MFT's line of Die-namics cuts such a wide variety of materials. This month, the team's challenge was to put dies to use with MFT's Cork Sheets. We hope to craft some cards and projects you’ll want to stick a pin in for inspiration you'll return to over and over! My cork project for you today is a set of four holiday drink coasters! The Cork sheets cut extremely well with MFT's dies -- as you can see with the variety of intricate die shapes I used! Here are the easy steps: TUTORIAL 1. I started by die cutting the Cork Sheets eight times with the largest Circle STAX 1 Die-namics (which measures about 4" -- perfect for a coaster!). Four of those circles will be die cut again and the other four circles will remain solid -- to give my coasters a double layer of stability and also to have a base circle on which to adhere all the die cut pieces together. Organization For Your Creative Space: Buttons & Ribbon

Welcome back to the second installation of this new monthly feature from the My Favorite Things Design Team! The focus will always be on organization but the area and type of organization will change each month. I'm really looking forward to gradually getting different areas of my studio more organized and efficient AND seeing all the different suggestions from the team! Buttons and Ribbon are tools of the trade when it comes to adding those finishing details to our projects and packages but they can quickly overwhelm us in volume and sheer number of color, shape, and size options. This month, the team is sharing how we manage our multitude of trimmings! My MFT Ribbon and Buttons are stored in this wall unit organizer. When I purchased it, it was the Making Memories Embellishment Center, which I believe is no longer being produced. Michaels started producing a very similar unit under their Jetmax brand, but I'm not positive it is still available, either. It is close to my desk, within easy reach. Golden Thanks

Hi, everyone -- I hope you are having a lovely week! I was in need of a special thank you card for some very special people, and this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #199 from My Favorite Things came to my rescue! Here's the sketch: And here's my card (turned horizontal): I'm still embracing the gold trend and used this gorgeous gold metallic cardstock from Ellen Hutson -- it's not too bright or too antique ... the perfect color, I think! I die cut it with MFT's fun Square Grid Cover-up Die-namics, then used the die to cut four out of five of MFT's pretty pink cardstock colors (from lightest to darkest): Pink Lemonade, Bubblegum, Cotton Candy, and Razzle Berry. Then I just mixed up the pink squares until I was happy with the combination: I used Ranger's Matte Multi Medium to securely glue the grid and squares to my Bubblegum card base. Next, I die cut four of the Many Thanks Die-namics from the gold metallic cardstock and layered them together to make a thicker die cut "Thanks" sentiment. My Favorite Things October Release Rewind

Hello and welcome to My Favorite Things October Release Rewind! The design team hopes to inspire you with more ideas for those new October products you've purchased and are patiently waiting on to be delivered, or to help you finish up your shopping if you are still on the fence about anything! My first project today is a wintery, cold snowflake card! The blue "watercolor" background was created with Copic Various Ink Refills. The details on how to create it are in this blog post. I thought it looked like a cold blizzard, so I glittered up the beautiful smallest Pierced Snowflake Die-namics and popped it up on foam tape. The Merry word is from the new Free with $60 Christmas Tree Cutout Die-namics -- it was die cut out of the Copic background and backed with Smooth White cardstock. The blue Copic background was die cut with my favorite large stitched panel from Blueprints 13 and the card base is Berrylicous Heavyweight Cardstock. Next, I have a 5" x 7" framed artwork piece: The Primitive White background was embossed with the Snowflake Fusion Cover-up Die-namics. Stitched Snow Drifts were added to the bottom. The time has come . . . Welcome to the October New Product Launch from My Favorite Things! I started by die cutting the tags out of Sour Apple and Jellybean Green Felt and cardstock, then die cutting the Christmas Tree Cutout only out of the felt tags. CardMaker & Inchie Arts Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Welcome to a Fall seasonal salute to Art Squares that will take you to 11 different creative blogs, beginning with the CardMaker blog and ending at the All In An Inch blog. Are you familiar with Inchie Arts' larger Art Square sizes? As designers and papercrafters have discovered, Art Squares can be used with layers of mixed media (without deterioration!) and they asked that larger sizes be created. In response to their requests there are now 3" squares and ATC size (2.5" x 3.5") available in all 7 colors, and now a 4" square available in white that is exceptional for use with bold bright colors. These larger sizes open up a Pandora's box of creative opportunity, including using larger stamped images and new mediums such as acrylic paints and mixed media, watercolor, Pan Pastels, inks, sprays, color sticks and encaustic.
