MFT December Release Countdown-Day 2

My card uses these products being featured/revealed today: Photo Booth stamp set and coordinating Photo Booth Props Die-namics, and Polaroid Frame Cover-Up Die-namics: Aren't these fun?!! The combination of the dies and coordinating stamps are endless and the stamp set sentiments include everything from love themes, to thank you, to birthday, congratulations or simply Hello. I went lovey-dovey with this card and used all the sentiments relating to love. I stamped them with Pink Lemonade Premium Dye Ink onto the Pink Lemonade Polaroid Frame, accenting one of the "I Love You" sentiments with Razzle Berry Dye Ink. The heart glasses were die cut from Red Hot cardstock, the lips from Razzle Berry, and gold glitter paper was used to die cut the speech bubble and wand holding the glasses. My card uses these products being featured/revealed today: Wild Things stamp set and coordinating Wild Things Die-namics, Candy Train Die-namics, Zebra Background: Aren't these animals the sweetest?!! I stamped them all with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored them with Copic markers (colors listed below in supply section). The tree was stamped with Kraft Hybrid Ink onto Natural cardstock and also colored with Copics. The Candy Train Die-namics was die cut from Red Hot cardstock, using only the main train (not the dimensional bottom or side). It was stamped with parts of two different sentiments from the Wild Things stamp set. My card uses these products being featured/revealed today: Miss Tiina Go With It stamp set and coordinating Die-namics: I love the funky sentiments in this set! I stamped this one with Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink to make a bold statement on the Primitive White cardfront, which was die cut with the new Blueprints 21 pierced large rectangle A2 panel die. This was mounted to my Wild Cherry card base. The large heart was cut from a Hugs & Kisses die cut Wild Cherry background, using the large heart from the TRANSFORM-ables Heart Full of Love die. It was backed with a Smooth White heart to give a little variance from the background, and popped up on foam tape. Welcome to our first day of the My Favorite Things December Release Countdown -- Due to the holiday, we are on a little shorter schedule this month and the new products will be available on Tuesday night, December 2nd! MFT DT November Creative Challenge: Christmas Cheer!

It's time again for the My Favorite Things Design Team monthly Creative Challenge! We’re quickly approaching a season that is chock-full of opportunities for creating cards, tags, treat boxes, and home decor. With such an amazing array of crafting possibilities, we thought it only right to open things up and encourage our team to go wild exploring all of the holiday crafting their imaginations can travel. My first Christmas Cheer project for you today is a home decor holiday subway art chalkboard sign: I picked up this great chalkboard/white erase easel sign at Michaels, knowing it would come in handy for a home decor project! It measures approximately 8" x 4.75". I stamped Holiday Subway Art with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink onto the chalkboard. I smoothed out a few of the imperfectly stamped sentiments (as you'll most likely get when stamping onto any slick surface) with a cotton swab, to help give the sign a more authentic chalk look. I wasn't certain how (or if) the pigment ink would thoroughly dry on the chalkboard (even after attempting to heat set it with my heat embossing tool). Friendly Holidays

Happy Hump Day! It's also the day the new Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge is usually posted over at the My Favorite Things blog. But a new bigger, better server is busy being put into place, to better serve customers, so today's challenge is just a little delayed. Until then, here's my card using the sketch: This sweet Happy Christmas Pure Innocence image was stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid ink onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored with these Copic Sketch markers: She was out-of-the-box die cut with the largest Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX, matted with Nightshift Blue cardstock, and popped up with Copic Foam Tape. The white background is the beautiful Snowflake Fusion Cover-Up, die cut from Smooth White cardstock and attached to a Berrylicious card base. I die cut Stacking Stars (link forthcoming, once website is available again) from Banana Split cardstock, to accent the tree top and to serve as the star accent in the upper right corner of the sketch. Hope You're on the Mend

Happy Monday! It's always good to have a "get well" card in your stash, so here's one I recently made with the new Stitched With Love stamp set and coordinating Die-namics from My Favorite Things: I used the current Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #202 for the card layout. I love all the stitching elements in this stamp set! I stamped the zig-zag stitching with Berrylicious Premium Dye ink onto a Primitive White cardstock Pinking Edge Square STAX die cut, to use as a base for that terrific spool which was die cut from Natural cardstock and stamped with the thread stamp. The spool was sponged with Kraft dye ink for a more dimensional look: The buttons are also dies from the Stitched With Love Die-namics set, tied with Hemp Cord (one colored with Copic 100-Black marker). The "mend" sentiment was stamped onto the stitched banner from Blueprints 20 and popped up on Copic Foam Tape. The scalloped Berrylicious background panel was die cut with my favorite new scalloped rectangle from Blueprints 20! MFT November Release Rewind

Hello and welcome to My Favorite Things November Release Rewind! The design team hopes to inspire you with more ideas for those new November products you've purchased and are patiently awaiting to be delivered, or to help you finish up your shopping if you are still on the fence about anything! My project today uses a few of this release's products I didn't have a chance to use yet -- Laina Lamb's absolutely adorable All-Star High Top Die-namics and coordinating stamp set, Be Original, along with the new Arrows Abound stencil and this month's Free with $60 Die-namics, Stitched Scallop Edges: My silly girls were trying their best to not give me a good photo op -- one trying NOT to smile and the other sticking her tongue out at me ... until they both cracked up! They really are the best of friends (thank goodness!), so these stamp set sentiments were perfect on a page about them. I used the Arrows Abound stencil with pearlescent embossing paste on Pink Lemonade cardstock for the top half of the page -- it's gorgeous in person but a little difficult to get a good photo. The time has come . . . Welcome to the November New Product Launch from My Favorite Things! I love all the stitching elements in Miss Tiina's new Stitched With Love stamp set -- like how real the Red Hot thread looks stamped onto the Natural cardstock spool Die-namics and all the stitched words and lines! Before adhering the top and bottom of the spool, I sponged each piece with Kraft Dye ink. The spool is popped up on foam tape for dimension. I used the largest Pinking Edge Square STAX Dia-namics, cut from Primitive White cardstock, to hold the focal images -- it is also popped up on foam tape. My project uses these products being featured/revealed today: Quilt Square Cover-Up Die-namics and Birdie Brown Warmest Wishes stamp set and coordinating Die-namics. Once again (because I LOVE these colors!) I used the new November Color Palette Challenge (click the graphic for full details): I just substituted a metallic silver cardstock for the Grout Gray color. I happened to have this white 5.50" frame on hand that fit the 4-inch Quilt Square perfectly, so here's the framed artwork I created: Isn't this the sweetest girl?!! First up is this golden Christmas card: I ADORE polka dots, so I was extremely excited for this particular background this month! I die cut it from Whip Cream cardstock, then layered it over a metallic gold card base. The beautiful Cozy Greetings sentiment was gold heat embossed onto a Whip Cream Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX die cut. To accent the sentiment, I placed a metallic gold cardstock die cut fishtail flag (from Blueprints 20) behind it, and a popped up star accent (also from BP20). The opening was die cut with the scalloped rectangle from Blueprints 19. The panel was popped up on Copic foam tape over the Grout Gray scalloped panel, stamped in Copic-friendly Black Licorice Hybrid Ink with the polar bear and his floating chunk of ice! After die cutting the mittens from Vellum, I white heat embossed them, then machine stitched two of them together leaving the tops open so sequins could be inserted.
