The time has come . . . Welcome to the November New Product Launch from My Favorite Things! This is the design team's chance to highlight and share more of the new release products that are NOW AVAILABLE for purchase at the MFT Store! Be sure to leave a comment here on my blog post, to be entered for your chance at winning a $100 gift voucher (see last paragraph below for details)!
Tonight I'm focusing on MFT's sweet new Pure Innocence Overflowing Joy stamp set and coordinating Overflowing Joy Die-namics and have three cards to share! (All bold products are linked at the end of this post):
My first card uses that great new Sweater Stitch Background, stamped in Red Hot Premium Dye Ink onto Cotton Candy cardstock. The background panel was die cut with the large stitched rectangle panel from Blueprints 20, then layered onto a Red Hot scalloped panel (also from BP20) and a Cotton Candy card base.
The PI girl was stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored with these Copic Sketch Markers:
{--E00, E11, R11 (skin); Y21, YR23, YR24 (hair); E23, E25 (shoes); R81, R83 (dress); YG17 (gifts); C2 (shadows)--}
Her gifts were paper pieced by stamping them separately onto Sour Apple cardstock stamped in Gumdrop Green Dye Ink with the Swiss Dots Background. The ribbons were colored in with Copic YG17 marker and Red Copic Atyou Spica Glitter Pen. She is popped up on foam tape over her sentiment, stamped in Gumdrop Green Dye Ink and accented with a Gumdrop Green Button and Hemp Cord:
My next card uses another one of my Copic "watercolor" backgrounds (Instructions can be found HERE). The Copic Various Ink Refills I used were B23, BG01, and YG07. It just so happens the Joy Photo Card Frame Die-namics is the same width as the new Square Frames Die-namics, so I cut them both out of Black Licorice cardstock and stacked them together (Square Frame on top) over the watercolor background:
This PI girl was colored with these Copic Sketch Markers:
{--B00, B01, B02 (dress); BG53, BG57 (gifts); YG21, YG23, YG25 (shirt & gifts); E00, E11, R11 (skin); N2, N4, N6 (hair & shoes)--}
{--B00, B01, B02 (dress); BG53, BG57 (gifts); YG21, YG23, YG25 (shirt & gifts); E00, E11, R11 (skin); N2, N4, N6 (hair & shoes)--}
I had fun coloring the gifts and decorating them with (top to bottom) Baby Blue Copic Atyou Spica Glitter Pen diagonal stripes, YG23 large dots, and Silver Atyou Spica Glitter Pen pin dots. The sentiment was stamped (omitting the "Joy" word) with Jet Black Archival ink:
My final card uses just the top two gifts from the PI girl's stack, gold heat embossed onto Primitive White cardstock and hand trimmed. I placed them behind the quilt panel from Blueprints 20, die cut from gold metallic cardstock and popped up on the largest Stitched Traditional Tag STAX, die cut from Primitive White cardstock (and also popped up on foam tape):
The front lower edge of my gold metallic card base was trimmed with the new Free With $60 Stitched Scallop Edges Die-namics (SO pretty!), 1/2-inch shorter than the back of the card, so the white inside panel would show.
Here's another view, so you can see all the dimension this card has ... I love the simple elegance!
Thanks so much for joining me the past week and for your very kind comments -- they always make me smile! I'll be back on Friday for our MFT November Release Rewind -- I hope you'll join me for some more new release project ideas then! And don't forget about this tid-bit:
