My first card today uses the awesome new Dog House Die-namics I hadn't gotten to use yet this month. It was a perfect match for the dogs in Birdie Brown's You Make My Tail Wag stamp set!
I decided the dog house needed to match my Small Brick Wall house card from Tuesday night's New Product Launch (found two posts below this one, HERE), so I did the same watercolor technique, then die cut the Dog House from the watercolored brick. The house trim was die cut from plain watercolor paper and shaded with Copic C2 (as were the Clouds).
The dog house was popped up on Copic's X-Press It Foam Tape.
The dog was stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card and die cut with his coordinating Die-namics, then colored with Copic markers (colors listed below in the supply section). Grassy Edges Die-namics were cut from Sour Apple cardstock and layered along the bottom of the card. I also used this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge 218 (flipped) -- the point in the Sno Cone panel made a great emphasis point for the first part of the sentiment!
Inside, I stamped the remainder of the sentiment, added the die cut fire hydrant, colored with Copics, and more of the Grassy Edges.
My next card uses the new Happy Die-namics and coordinating Totally Happy stamp set, Lisa Johnson's Circle Scribble Flowers stamp set, along with all FIVE of this month's new cardstock colors ... those all REALLY make me happy, LOL!
I started by die cutting the Happy Die-namics from a 5.50" x 4.25" Smooth White cardstock panel, on an angle. Next, I used this month's new Premium Dye Ink Pads Blue Breeze, After Midnight, Tickled Pink, and Cranberry Cocktail (along with Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green dye inks since I don't have Field Day yet) to stamp the Scribble Flowers on the Smooth White panel.
Next, I die cut the Happy Die-namics from all five new cardstock colors, then cut out different letters and pieced them together on top of the white Happy panel. The Happy panel was adhered to a Sour Apple card base and the Totally Happy sentiment stamped with Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Ink.
Thanks so much for joining me this past week ... I hope you've enjoyed the My Favorite Things March release!
