Good Old Summertime!

Hello there and happy summer time! I hope you are staying cool, wherever you are . . . the heat and humidity have come back in full force here in southern coastal Texas (whew)! Today over on the Pink Ink Postmarks blog, I'm sharing this pocket card: I sure wish I had a fabulous sun porch swing like this one, to take a rest in the shade with a nice cool iced tea! And isn’t that snoozing puppy absolutely adorable?!! To make this pocket card, I stamped the wonderful Sunporch Snooze #2244K (all bold products are linked below in the supply section) with Versamark watermark ink onto kraft paper and heat embossed it with white powder. Next, I used a white colored pencil to do a little shading and then finished coloring the image with the Copic markers pictured below (you can also see how the white card insert pulls out of the pocket card below … a great spot for a gift card!): To enhance the beautiful fine cutout details of the swing, I shaded it with the C1-C2-C3 Copic markers, the puppy was colored with E31-E33, and the pillow with BG01. Announcement & Congrats Meredith Grad

Hello and happy June (and graduation season), everyone! Today I have some exciting news to share ... you can find the official announcement over on the Taylored Expressions blog HERE! I was beyond thrilled when Taylor asked me to join the TE Blog Design Team and will be contributing projects to their blog a few times each month (and of course here on my blog as well)! TE holds a special place in my heart, as I was honored to serve on the inaugural Baker's Dozen Design Team back in September 2008 (and again later in 2009), so I know Taylor and the entire team are such very kind, extremely talented people and wonderful friends ... it's great to be back "home"! Getting all nostalgic reminded me of this photo I wanted to dig up and share from a get-together held at my house in the Fall of 2008 which Taylor and some fabulous stamping friends attended ... such FUN memories (we need to do it again)!
