After a little inspiration from my budding Spring garden, I decided I needed a little Copic coloring therapy this weekend! Naturally, I headed straight to my Coloring Foundations Book: Coloring Flowers with Copic Markers. Using one of my favorite chapters, Coloring with Copic Reds, I chose this beautiful rose image from the Coloring Flowers Book and Line Art Kit which includes this black 5" x 7" photo mat! The kit also includes 8 flower line art designs printed on Copic compatible paper. What could be easier -- just grab some markers and start coloring!
Coloring with Copic's reds, since they are so highly pigmented, can be a bit tricky and this book gives some great tips on how to work with them. The book also gives excellent step-by-step instructions on how to color many varieties of flowers and different situations, such as coloring with reds, which can be applied to many other things besides flowers.
Here are the stepped-out photos of my coloring process, following the excellent instructions in the book:
And finally, B00/B000/B0000 to color the sky:
Simple, easy-to-follow instructions that yield wonderful results!
If you want to step up your coloring skills, this book has some great tips which can be applied to many other situations besides just flowers!
Wow Sharon, just WOW! Thank you for sharing your exquisite coloring skills and Copic markers with us. The book sounds fantastic! You sure know how to take coloring to the next level. ♥

Like the photos and explanation but wish you'd have listed the colors you used as can't read them after printing. Sorry. Edna Burgess

Hi, Edna! The book gives wonderful marker color suggestions for achieving fabulous results for many different floral images, along with practice images you can photocopy and practice along with. I didn't feel it was my place to totally replicate the information given in the book, nor to republish here on my blog the information the author gives in the book -- just to show my results. I hope you can understand that?
